The shock absorber's job is to provide a controlled amount of resistance every time the wheels bounce up and down or the vehicle leans as it goes around a corner. The constant motion can wear out a shock in 15,000 to 25,000 miles. At Apex, we stock only quality shocks and struts to take care of you suspension needs. Don't forget to ask about our lifetime guarantee shocks and struts.

Took the vehicle in for an oil pressure sensor based on the code received from the on board computer. Asked for them to replace said sensor and change oil. They did these things. When I arrived to pick it up I asked about a veteran discount which they did not give me instead I got a song and dance from them about a misquote and it was already costing money.
So I go out and get in the truck and engine light still on. I asked why its not cleared and again another excuse and then told they could do it for an additional charge. Told him forget it if you couldn't do the whole job then you should have said so. Walked out went to another location and the code was cleared for free. The excuse given was I did not specifically ask for code to be cleared thats why he would charge me extra.
I also did not ask him to ensure the window was rolled up or that they not get oil and grease all over my vehicle. Its really just part of the job. Last time they pulled the codes and found a lot of extras. Did not ask them then so why now this time. So just to recape. did job, refused veteran discount, then wanted to charge extra to finish job. Unfortunately they have lived up to the stero typical mechanics. They will do what they can to get more money and give you less for it.

Came in around 9am on a Saturday with intermittent starter issues on my truck. Front desk was really nice and Rich was able to help us out pretty quickly which was a surprise on a Saturday. They had a lot of other cars and people on premises so they are definitely efficient and not going to waste your time waiting for "no reason". Fair labor costs, honest recommendations for work.
And friendly. I appreciate their help. Autozone is also just down the road, along with a place to eat and a beautiful park nearby. We'd been driving through on our way from Poconos, PA to Minneapolis to visit family and now I'm confident my truck is going to make it. Thank you.

Any mechanic who will cut your wire to the air conditioning compressor on purpose to guarantee return service work, is a shiesty mechanic and a fraud. I had calipers and brake lines services on my truck here (the AC was working perfect), as soon as they gave me my truck back, the AC no longer worked. My husband checked the Blower motor, the resistor, the fuses, and the digital controls.
They were all fine. When he went to check the compressor under the hood, he saw that the wire had been cut with wire cutters. The ground wire for my hood lightbulb had also been cut on purpose and electrical tape wrapped around the end. Who does that? A piss poor over-priced mechanic who wants to guarantee you'll bring your vehicle back for even more repairs! I'm scared to wonder if he installed my calipers correctly or not now! I've never had a mechanic do that to me!
Just because I'm a woman, doesn't mean you should try to cheat me or defraud me by cutting wires in my vehicle to make sure I'll come back to your shop! I should call the cops! UPDATE: they told my husband we needed all new rotors and brake pads on all four wheels and when my husband checked (he does all our rotor and brake pad work at home), our rotors and pads are still new! Like my husband said- Apex is a bunch of lying, cheating, shiesty bastards. Stay away from them!

Driving from Wisconsin to Massachusetts to attend a wedding and had an emergency brake issue. Found Apex auto Laporte on goggle maps - called and was told to come on in and they'd do everything they could to get us back on the road safely. Bobby at the front desk was very welcoming and reassuring. The service staff was outstanding - they got our van in right away, called around to find the needed parts quickly, and stayed open late to fix the van and get us back on the road.
We were so impressed - what could have derailed the trip was only a 2 hour delay. Excellent customer service! Bonus: Temple News Cafe was a 10 minute walk away and serves some of the BEST home made ice cream we've ever had - which is saying a lot since we're Wisconsinites! : If you like espresso try the double shot of espresso poured over a scoop of icecream - delicious!
