This was my second time getting service at Hash, and I had to leave a review about their exceptional service and workmanship. After hitting a pothole in downtown Indy, BMW quoted me $14,000 for the repairs. Hash completed the job for a fraction of that cost (I paid out of pocket without filing an insurance claim) and finished almost two weeks ahead of the estimated time. They did an excellent job on my BMW. I trust that my car is in good hands here, and they really know what they're doing.

Update (7 years later) - I will likely find a new shop. I have lost a lot of confidence in Hash Imports. Recently we've taken my wife's car there and have been quoted work that didn't need done. They gave my wife quote for new rear brakes (we weren't even there for brakes) so I took a weekend day to do the job myself only to find the rotors within spec and the pads had plenty of padding left.

I am SO GLAD I didn't drop $900-$1100 to do just the rears. Fortunately I ended up spending a lot less (still $300 or so) but they caused me to lose a weekend day to replace parts that didn't need it. This also occurred when they told us we needed new spark plugs and ignition coils.an exhorbant quote (though likely standard rate) that I ended up doing myself and there again, after an entire weekend, $700+ for parts, etc.the coils were fine (I tested all of them with multimeter) and the spark plugs looked great (clearly newer.

I've been wrenching on cars 30 years now). They seem to be ok if you know what you want them to do. I have had them do some work recently and they did fine Just take any quotes they tell you that needs done not directly related to the repair you need with a grain of salt. Unfortunately a lot of people will just roil over as they can't do the work themselves, they don't understand cars, and they think they can trust that Hash has done their due diligence.,I just have lost trust in them.

It stinks. They seem to be trying to drum up business for items they can plausibly recommend be replaced, even when they really don't need it. Its a cash grab that had me move from my previous shop to Hash and its very disappointing to see them do it now too. I have coworkers and friends over the years that I recommended them to (even did this write up 7 years ago).I have been letting them all know to be cautious when dealing with Hash now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As someone who has wrenched on his own cars since back in the late 80s I am always hesitant to let anyone else repair my car.

Over the last couple years I have started working with various shops on certain repairs or upgrades. I have found that some shops do try to get you to take on unneeded repairs. I am fortunate as a long time car DIY guy (having done everything including multiple engine swaps) that I usually have a detailed understanding of the repair and can easily see when they are trying to pull one on me. Hash didn't do that.

They have been honest and fair. I can't say more than that other than that other than to compliment their customer service (all the guys were very easy to like and responsive any time I called or emailed).

First repair on my 328xi with Hash Imports, and it was an excellent experience! Very nice job. Truly took care of my car. So many "little" things they did that was above and beyond expectations. For example. they noticed a minor part missing with rear brakes while replacing wheel bearing.and just fixed it. It solved a problem I've had for years, but forgot to ask about it.

No nickle and dime charges either.so refreshing. Fair pricing for parts & labor and an all around good value. I know I could have paid much more for a whole lot less quality workmanship. Great job guys! So appreciate the extra effort. Yes, it was noticed!

Took 2 days for a "simple" (their words) car horn repair and I had to call to check in because they weren't calling me to let me know anything. Pretty sure they treated me poorly because of the Biden and pride stickers on my car (Fox news was playing in the office). It was just overall a terrible experience and I didn't have a good interaction with any of the men I spoke with.

Will never go back and would give 0 stars if I could. I'm really not trying to be a Karen, I'm just trying to warn anyone who thinks this is a good company to go to.

Hash is the best place in the area we've found to get work done on our vehicles. They're very busy, but extremely knowledgeable. If they're unable to do the work for you, they'll recommend another reliable provider. Highly recommend

The work on my 2015 Rover hasn't even been done yet, but the experience dealing with both Mike and Josh has been nothing but positive. The dealership gave me a bid of $6,500 to replace the entire wiring harness in the engine. I've learned from Josh that one small part can be replaced for $1,000 rather than the whole blasted thing! I'm a happy girl to be able to keep that amount of money in my pocket. Thank you Hash Imports!

Loved dealing with Hash. They were honest about their timeline, honest about what was broken, and quick to fix when they could. Will definitely go back again!

First time going there and I was very impressed. First thing is its no frills, just to the point car maintenance. They had every opportunity to string me along with extra parts/work, and they got my car working again with minimal effort and cost. There was no attempt to upcharge me with topping off fluids, wiper blades, telling me my tires needed replaced, etc. I also respect the fact that they do not stock oil change parts for my VW Golf TDI, but when I offered to supply the filter and oil they were willing.

Took my 2013 BMW X5 in for some major repairs that I am sure would have cost 3x at the dealership. Extremely pleased with the work and reasonable cost as well as the quick turnaround time. Highly recommended!

Took my daughters Jaguar for repair after several failed attempts at other repair shops. Took some time but eventually they were able to determine and fix the problem and for a lot less than I was expecting. Would definitely highly recommend and will return if needed.

Hash Imports is a locally owned repair shop that I trust with my wallet. They have worked on 3 different vehicles of mine, 2004 Dodge Viper, 1966 hot rod mustang, and 2005 Hummer H2 SUT. Every time I left the shop after paying my bill I drove off with a big smile on my face because of how professional and friendly, and honest they are. They do incredible work, with a price that I personally believe is better than fair.

Just because of the way you feel when you leave there, it's not too often you can leave a repair shop and feel good about it. I highly recommend Hash Imports, they definitely earned my business. Thank you guys. I appreciate it.

I bought an all original 69 vette and I wanted to have a shop do a once over on it. Finding a shop that works on classic cars can be difficult, but luckily Hash was close to my house. Mr. Hash and his team looked it over and gave me a quote and a detailed list of what they would recommend doing to the car. They pulled the engine and transmission, installed new cam and engine components, replaced all engine seals, replaced my driveshaft, repaired suspension parts, cleaned the engine bay and much more.

After picking my car up, I could tell a big difference in responsiveness and ride quality. I now trust the car for longer drives. The team texted me pictures during the repair journey and always answered the phone when I called. I'm a guy that likes a lot of communication/updates, especially with my dream car. When they had to add more items to the list they told me before doing it and let me know the additional charges, no surprises.

The project did take 5 months, but the weather has been so hot and I understood they had more than my car to work on; it was not a problem for me. Overall, I would recommend them because of their customer service and ability to fix what needs fixing. When I have the opportunity to do a full resto-mod I plan to bring it back to Hash!

This was our first time at Hash Imports. I talked to them earlier about servicing my diesel vehicle. They recommended another mechanic who's is great. We took my wife's car there for routine service. My favorite comment from Mike is "We are mechanics, not part changers." Highly recommend Hash!

Hash had the best estimate price for a repair my car needed. Not only did they fix the issue at a much lower price than World Wide Motors or other shops that work on Mercedes, they went above and beyond and corrected an issue I had tried to fix myself. Wonderful experience working with them and I highly recommend.

What an outstanding experience. I was on a road trip from Chicago to Florida and was recommend to this shop from someone I met earlier in the day as I felt the car was having a problem on the highway. They are welcoming, kind, and professional. I appreciated the honest assessment of my car. Also love the "living room" waiting room. They really care about customers here. Bravo!

Import cars are their own beasts, and it can be tough to find a reliable and trustworthy shop, especially as the cars age. Hash has been amazing. Josh and Mike and the rest of the team are incredibly customer-focused, provide honest feedback in diagnostic of concerns, and offer multiple solutions. They will even tell you when NOT to replace something.

In one example, I had a noise in my frontend when braking. They diagnosed it as loosely fitting aftermarket brake pads clunking when re-seating in the caliper, and advised it was optional to replace at this time. I opted to replace them anyhow, but that type of honesty is missing from many shops. In another example, they replaced my transmission with a used unit with half the miles of the unit the dealer was able to source--and at significant savings.

They also proactively replaced seals and such while everything was taken apart. I was back on the road in a few days. Getting work done on an import is hard work, and I trust the team at Hash to take care of us. If your dealer seems to be all about selling you a new car when you bring your 5+ year old import in, maybe it's time to make a switch! We'll definitely be back.

I was told by two other shops that I needed to rebuild my transmission so as a last resort I took my BMW to Hash Imports. They found something very simple had become unplugged! I cannot begin to say how thankful I am to have taken my car to these guys. They saved me more than $4,000! If you ever need a mechanic you can trust then you need to go to Hash Imports.

I have become a lifelong customer just because they were always honest with me and they really go the extra mile. They even reset a light on my dash for free just because I was having issues. These guys are amazing!

I've been taking my Honda car to Mike Hash and his team on and off for years. These guys are the only mechanics I know of who will actually tell you when you don't need to replace something or when something can wait. They are honest and their prices are very fair. There's a reason when many times you call to make an appointment they have a few weeks wait ahead of you! I would recommend Hash to anyone no matter if they have a fancy foreign car or your run-of-the-mill Honda.
