I would give this negative stars if I could. I just encountered the worst experience after calling AAA and they send someone from Sterling automotive repair shop out. He left me stranded with a flat tire. Was rude upon arrival, left my tires on the ground and drove off. Filed a complaint with AAA and would never do business with these people.

Repaired my head gasket on my GEN V 6.2 on my 2015 Denali, flushed the coolant that had oil, trucks runs great and no more smoking. Super easy to work with and got the car completed on time. Thanks and appreciate the work you do for the community! Service: Engine repair

So grateful for this shop! My hood latch broke while driving down 88 taking my grandparents to a doctor's appointment. They were able to squeeze me in and get it fixed within 10 minutes so I could get back on the road safely. Very friendly and helpful!

I dropped off my truck to Sterling automotive after having a conversation with one of the store reps. They told me labor per hour was $140 which I thought was fine I mean everybody's gotta eat and pay bills that wasn't to bad for getting under a vehicle and installing my running boards and bed extender as well as a soft trifold tonneau cover. The following day after said conversation I dropped the items and truck off and was told they were going to begin working on it shortly.

Next I went home and called back in around 2 hours later to check on the progress, I was told the tonneau cover was installed and they were working on the bed extender and also that the running boards would not go on which I understood if I was sent the wrong boards nothing can be done. I headed into the shop after that conversation which took me about 20 mins to get there I then asked the front desk associate if I can go check on the progress of my truck which she said was fine.

When I went into the work area I seen my tonneau cover installed which was fine, also I noticed that "working on installing my bed extender " was code for its out of the box and sitting there with no actual progress except removing the tape from the box which it came in. I stood there for fifteen minutes waiting for one of the two employees working on someone else's vehicle to respond to me so I could actually ask a question.

I then went to the front desk and asked why has the only thing thats been installed is a topper that takes 20-30 mins tops in a period where I was going to be charged for 2 hours and 3/4 of a hour which would amount to $385 when the work they were performing was on another vehicle which was NOT MINE. In the end I told them put my items back in the truck and for a total on the install of the tonneau cover to which the woman at the front desk was shocked and looked as if she had no idea what was going on.

After the main technician who was "working" on my truck told her to charge me a $100 bucks to get me out the door. Basically what I'm getting at is if you would like to be robbed blindly and have your vehicle sit there for hours @ $140 per hour this is DEFINITELY THE PLACE FOR YOU. If not check on your vehicles I'm sure I would have been charged for 4-5 hours and given a story of why it took alot longer than expected for install had I not stopped in to check on my truck. STERLING AUTOMIVE REPAIR IS A place where you go to donate your money while they work on your local neighbors vehicles.

Highly recommend Sterling automotive. Friendly staff, they have gone beyond my expectations on their service. They maintain all of my vehicles, from oil changes to replace timing belts, they can assist you with any of your vehicles mechanical needs.

Sterling is the most reliable & honesty auto repair shop in IL. Every time the owner Mark is very patiently answer all the questions relate to the issues of our car & he is very knowledgeable of any car. Front desk Basia nice, polite. The repair price is reasonable. Highly recommend Sterling for anyone needs car repair.

Always a great experience! The owners are fantastic people and its an excellent business. If you go to any other service/repair center they will over charge you for every little thing! We absolutely love Sterling! Their warranty is awesome and they are always so welcoming and treat you as part of their family. I would highly recommend you give them a try. Pros: Warranty Quality of work Reasonably priced Cons: Sometimes it's really difficult to get an appointment. Although this is not a con for the company sometimes it is for me.

However they do offer a drop off service. This is where you can drop your car off at your convenience and put your keys in a secured box. No worries they will not fix anything until they speak with you. Overall they are well worth the wait. So go ahead schedule you an appointment today!

We have been taking our cars to Sterling Auto Repair for several years and have always been very happy with the quality of work and the integrity of the staff. They were recommended from a friend and our first experience was when our air conditioner died on our Toyota Highlander Hybrid. We originally took it to the Toyota dealer and they told us we needed an entire new system for $5000!

We then took the car to Sterling and they did the repair for $350-- we did not need a new system as the dealer had told us! Since then, we continue to take our cars to Sterling and have been very satisfied with the quality of work at a fair price.
