Tony, the owner, was so helpful. They were able to get the vehicle done the day I brought it down there. He even Google what I needed to do to get my radio working again after they disconnected the battery. I would definitely go back if I can't get it done at my regular mechanic. They recommended these guys. Thanks Tony.

A good first experience. They did what I asked, didn't try to upsell me into stuff I didn't want. My Honda Civic is 9 years old and has143,000 miles. No comments about my car or car choice. Most of all, everyone was kind and polite which appealed to my old, white haired self. I'll be going back soon I'm sure

Not share the cheapest but straight-forward, accurate quotes, quick turn around. Not the most chipper service but they'll remember your car's start patterns and take your concerns seriously. Solid neighborhood shop, won't try to sell you on anything you don't need. They keep me on the road with minimal stress and no hard sells, only safety. I'm into it.

I'm not from the Syracuse area, so I asked friends for recommendations and ended up finding Masello's. I was worried that as a young female who knows very little about cars I would be taken advantage of and overcharged, but that was certainly not the case. I was very happy with the service. Very professional, friendly, and Tony clearly cares a lot about providing good service for his clients.

Joe is a fine mechanic that will not overcharge you for your car repairs. Or at least that's how I felt. He'll give you a call with an estimate before he starts taking your vehicle apart, so you'll know how much money to bring when picking up your car. I went there a few times, and every time he and his son were very professional and treated me as a valued customer. I wish not to visit him often but if something breaks I won't hesitate to go to Masello's.

I can't recommend them enough. Earlier this week, I was driving on 690E during a heavy rainstorm. The windshield wiper blades (that had been installed by another shop just 10 days earlier) dislodged. With the heavy rain, I couldn't see at all. I managed to get off the first exit after this happened and, as serendipity would have it, came upon. Masello's. Tony and his staff accommodated my emergency on a busy day and were amazing and even drove to the nearest subaru dealership to get the right wiper blades (the previous ones installed were not the correct blades for the car).
Without their help, I don't know what I would have done because I really couldn't see and I live an hour from Syracuse. In addition, Tony was so friendly and we were able to swap puppy stories. I credit them with preventing what could have been a bad accident. Such wonderful and competent people!

These guys are honest, reasonably priced, efficient, and friendly. Just what you need in a repair and maintenance shop. My son is a technician and I still come here when he is too busy to take care of me. Only place I would consider in town otherwise. They email reminders for service and recalls too!

Finding a good mechanic is no easy feat. Lured in by stellar reviews, I gave Masello's a try. In a world increasingly filled with chain shop trying to up sell you on services you don't need, Masello's is a true neighborhood mechanic who has the best interest of you and your vehicle in mind. Being able to drop it for the day and pick it up after work is super convenient.
I trust that when I take it here it will get done right, and I won't be pressured into getting anything unnecessary. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world where cars never need maintenance, but luckily, there are still honest shop owners like Tony to help you out when that light goes on or you hear a funny noise.

My daughter is a student at SU. Against my better judgement, and arm twisting from her and my wife, I let her take my 2004 Honda Odyssey to school. We are from Massachusetts. When the car broke down. She took it to a mechanic who told her it needed a new engine. I found out weeks latter. I had her tow it back to campus, after a few months, I had the car towed to Masello's after doing some research on the web.
As I had read in other reviews Tony and the guys treated me like family. He fixed the problem for under $100 and when I drove the car about a mile away the check engine light came on. The car had not been driven for months. I took the car back to Tony about an hour latter. He was the only one there as the the shop had closed for the day. I told him I needed to get back to Massachusetts for a appointment in the morning.
He spent the next hour finding and fixing the problem. This is what I meant when I said he treated me like family. I now have a honest, fair, family mechanic in Syracuse. Thanks Tony.

Awesome. Trust me. I'm out of town and my son is in Syracuse with the car. We had it towed to Masella's not knowing for sure what the issue was, but told Tony I suspected it needed a new starter. He said if so, it'd be roughly $350. He diagnosed the issue and it turned out to be something a lot easier and cheaper to fix. They know cars. They know how to fix them. And they know how to treat customers.

Tony and the other mechanics at Masello's are nothing short of amazing. They are one of the few garages that I trust to work on my vehicles. I believe their pricing is fair, and probably more than fair, given the expertise they have. To give you a sense of their integrity, I'll share one story. I had left my car there to have maintenance done, and when they finished it was parked in the side lot as is the norm.
In the few hours between the completion of the work and my arrival to pick it up, someone had swung open their rear door into my car's front fender so hard that it left two sizable dents that couldn't be repaired without going to a body shop. I didn't notice the body damage until I got home, and I quickly called Tony to let him know what I found.
He was aware of how well I tend to my vehicles, was horrified, apologized profusely and without any hesitation offered to pay to fix the damage done in his parking lot. Now any time my car comes in for service, he makes sure to tell me that he will keep it parked in the garage until I pick it up. Tell me, where else are you going to find another garage with integrity like that? I won't bother to look since Masello's is the one of the few shops I go to for maintenance and repairs.

I've gone to Masello's many times, and they've always been honest and fair. Tony is a good guy. He's always walked me through the repair process and explained what he was charging me for and why. A few times, he let me buy an after-market part on my own and only charged me to install it. He's one of the best mechanics in Syracuse.

Tony's level of service is by far the best I have experienced with having my car worked on. Some people do not care to learn more about their cars, but Tony has always gladly explained the work that needs to be done, even taking me under the car to go into greater detail. He has always worked with me to match what work needs to be, what I can do myself, and finding a balanced economical approach to keep me safely on the road.

I brought my car here 4 times and twice he charged me way too much. He charged me $85 dollars for rear brake shoes (just the part which cost about $20) and $85 for labor, $9 for spray lubricant and $5 for a sanding disk. Spray lube and sandpaper are tools of the trade. I've never had anyone charge me for them. It would be like a Dr charging your for the use of his scalpel or a carpenter charge you for the use of his hammer. I'll never go back. Ripoff!

Cannot recommend them highly enough! Tony is great, everyone who works there knows what they're doing, and most importantly they fix the issues right the first time. And they'll never ever take advantage of you and tell you a lot of things need to be fixed that don't actually need to be. I absolutely trust them with my car!
