Just what the sign says, Transmission specialist! they're helping me with my transmission issues. Great bunch of people.

I took in my car for an inspection they told me that would cost $100 just to look at it. When I did this I told him what type of car I had and they said that they couldn't find a part and that they would contact me and let me know. this then took them two weeks before they got in contact with me, only because I called them first. They said that they would give me a price to get the job done but never did. They were very unprofessional. But they did have a nice attitude about it.lol.

On 2/14/2020 I took my vehicle there Because of shaking in the front end. They told me that it was the transmission they charged me $4282.02 to replace it. When I picked it up the shaking was still there but I could not immediately take it back to them because I had to leave to go out of town on a business trip. When I got back in town I brought it back to them because of the shaking they took it in and checked it out and said that they could not duplicate the shaking, I then had to bring the vehicle back to them again a few weeks later because a seal went bad within 1000 miles on the new transmission.

I told them that the shaking is still there there, When I picked up the vehicle they told me that they could not duplicate the shaking again I asked for them to go to ride with me and they told me they were too busy to go on a ride. I had another transmission shop Check out the vehicle and they told me that the shaking is from the drive axle and not the transmission they also said the top of the crank case was broken and that if Airport transmissions didn't tell me it was broken when they took the vehicle and that they most likely broke it trying to put in a new transmission.

The other shop I took it to told me that it was clear as day as to what the real problem was and that they should've noticed it. I now have 3000 miles on the transmission and another seal needs to be replaced in The transmission that I bought from airport transmission. Don't bother wasting your time with this company you will just be wasting money.

Definitely the best transmission shop in the area. I've used them several times and they always provide outstanding service. Reasonable prices, professional discussion about repairs and they always finish the job on time or early. I'll never go anywhere else.

The people there are nice, they do great work. They don't try and do extra work that isn't needed. I have had Airport Transmission do work on 4 of my Vehicles and they did a great job on all 4. I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota. The clutch went out on it. My Father and I knew what was wrong with it. What needed done. They picked truck up from my house. We didn't tell them what we thought.

When They called with Diagnoses They told us what the problem was and what they had to do. It was exactly what we thought. They went further than what was estimated to insure the clutch lasted. They didn't ad on for extra work. They have even shown me the parts that were broken or bad. I will keep using them. The price was good for everything they had to do. I wouldn't use Airport Transmission. They don't lift your car or truck up and inspect it, as to see if you don't need to rebuild or replace the transmission, and may just need a small repair. They will give you the classic $2200.00 rebuild cost. I lucked out and saw the scam before I paid. DON'T USE THEM, and remember always get a second opinion.

I wouldn't even give airport transmission one star, I'd give them negative 5 stars if I could. Not long after buying our truck our transmission blew but it was under warranty. We went to airport because that's where our car dealership sent us. They rebuilt the transmission but in the process, someone had overfilled the transmission fluid which we. did not know and apparantely Donald the owner did not know either.

After a few months our truck had every single light on the dashboard light up and we were lucky to get it the ten mins. down the road where we were going before it died. We were an hour away from home, we had went to take my children to visit their grandparents. When we called to.

My daughter had to deal with an unfortunate repair on her transmission. Don and his employees were very professional and courteous. He promptly gave her clear information, a reasonable estimate, and he patiently answered all of our questions. I won't hesitate to take any future transmission problems to him. It's worth the 39 mile trek to Airport Transmission from my home!

Terrible experience. My transmission was slipping when accelerating my car from a dead stop, so I brought it to Airport Transmission to see if there were any major problems. After a day and a half, I get a call saying the transmission is "no good, " and that it would take $2200-$2700 to fix it. Crazy high estimation. I talked to an outside source, whom I trusted, what he thought the problem was.

Just from describing the symptoms, he told me I was probably just low on transmission fluid. I took it to a local Valvoline to get the transmission fluid checked, and sure enough the transmission fluid was dangerously low. Valvoline informed me there was a leak, but it should be an easy fix and that the transmission was fine. I 100% believe that Airport Transmission knew this was the issue, and yet they told me I needed to spend an exorbant amount of money to replace the entire transmission instead of simply fixing a busted line.

Bottom line: these guys tried to scam me. Who knows, maybe their work is really good if you are willing to pay astronomically more than is needed. Otherwise, DO NOT go to these people. They are looking for nothing more than to swindle people out of their money.

I'm still running the same transmission in my muscle car that Airport Transmission installed in 1987. It still chirps second gear!

Don- The manager was beyond rude. They had our vehicle for a month and when we finally got it back, it was leaking antifreeze, had no heat, and no all wheel drive. They replaced the motor with a used motor that was obviously junk. I called and told Don and he was rude as hell and refused to give us a rental while they fix it again. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
