Furgerson's Garage

L have been taking my car to Furgerson's ever since I moved to Carlsbad in the fall of 2019. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I live in a retirement community and Furgerson's was recommended to me by several of the residents because of their excellent service and willingness to drive you back and forth while your car is being serviced. For those of us senior citizens who may not have family in the area, the drive back and forth is really important. All personnel are knowledgeable and friendly and their rates are very reasonable. Try them! You'll never use anyone else again.

Furgerson's is the only garage that I have used for over 10 years. It's that good, in fact I recommended it to my Grandson who was equally pleased with both the quality of workmanship & the price. Services: Oil change, Battery

I have been going to Fugerson's Garage for over three decades. I have always known whenever I leave my car there it is in excellent hands and that I can trust them to take care of me too. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Perfect experience. A warm welcome and prompt service for a smog check, even without a reservation. The wait was less than half an hour. Easy and fast checkout and I was on my way. Their association with AAA helped with a nice discount, too! I have recommended Furgersons to several friends.

I had a totaled my KTM 450exc, got hit by a drunk driver. So I had to get it re-certified to drive on the street, these guys got me all setup quickly, really fair prices. Bring my car in for a smog check tomorrow!

My car was acting out and after getting some wild estimates at another shop, I wanted a second opinion. Evan made time for me to stop by and take a quick look. He had me on the road in no time, while saving me a lot of money and hassle. I will definitely be taking all my future car business here! Thank you Evan for all your help! You saved my morning!

We had to have a brake and light inspection done to recertify our van. They did excellent work.

Great customer service, communication, and easy to get to and get in and out of. Evan was especially helpful. Well organized and fairly priced. I'll continue coming here for sure.

Great experience. Moved from NYC some time ago, but continuously put off getting my smog check. The first two places I called weren't capable of completing the check bc they lacked the tools -I have a 2018 911 4S, that apparently requires more effort. Tom greeted me warmly -as he did on the phone when I originally called, and we were on our way.

He directed me to a local business where I cld get a tea and within 35 min I received a text that my car was ready. I'm not sure what rates are, but it seemed to be very, very reasonable. Tom was super pleasant -just great to chat with, and I was off to the DMV w my smog certificate.

Awesome customer service. Very friendly staff. Greeted me immediately and had mechanic take my truck for a smog. In and out quickly.

They did extensive work on an old truck I bought and got me rolling again. Very fair on service fees and helped me locate the right parts for this vehicle that no longer has new parts available from the manufacturer. Special call out to Evan for getting the Bronco alive again.

Took my Porsche here for service. Brian was our rep and took care of it all. He was quick and very reliable- our Porsche purrs now! Trust your automobile to these professionals!

Wow instantly got a terrible attitude and felt very rushed from the guy at the front desk. Went in for a quote and they were insanely higher and overpriced for a simple ac service and he told me it could be even as expensive as replacing my car. absolutely just a sales guy because sadly I have worked in sales and know dishonesty when I see it and exactly the reason I got out of it.

If you think you paying for quality and that's why it's expensive please check around because there are some very honest people who need the support way more than this shop during the pandemic we are in. They could really stand to offer fair prices to support the community. Sorry guys just 2 big thumbs down

Although I love to discount shop for allot of stuff. When it comes to my beloved Honda Odyssey Van, I don't take any chances. Furgeson's Garage has been around for years. There not your budget auto shop, there the folks you bring a car to when you want dealer quality service and more. I highly recommend Furgeson's Garage.

This place is great car was done ealier than promised and great pricing, professional, curtous staff. they do thorough inspections, my car little older so it needs little more work done but the pricing seems fair and they can get me back in tomorrow! thanks suzy, evan and brian.

Went to get a Brake and Lamp Inspection. They gave me a list of things I failed for.and I could agree on all but one. My drive/neutral indicator light bulb was out on my dash. My understanding of the lamp part was that it involves anything around the outer lamps.hazards, turn signals, headlights, etc. I called around to 6 different brake and lamp inspection specialists across the state of California (cause they all have the same checklist) and each one said it wouldn't be a fail. Finally, I connected with a manager.he said his inspector traveled to Sacramento and worked with the state training people on this.

Big whoop. I said the lamps on the inside don't matter.and then he made a point to say, "Well, the ABS indicator light is on the inside, so I guess they do." Again, not pertinent information cause that is an alert that the ABS is bad, which is a part of that checklist. He was grasping at straws and refusing to put his inspector in the wrong. "Basically, he is the judge and jury." he said about the inspector. Well, if we are going with that metaphor.his inspector made up his own law.cause every other place I called stated firmly it wouldn't be a fail. It's a lame attempt to get my business and charge me an extra $200 to get a pass. It's untrustworthy and slimey.

If you need a brake and lamp inspection.go find someone else cause I cannot recommend these guys. UPDATE (3/26): Passed the inspection easily with another shop. They didn't mention my drive/neutral indicator lights.which still don't work, by the way. Again, go somewhere else. It'll save you a lot of hassle and money.

I am a tough customer and you are either first or your last in my book. In this case Furgerson's Garage delivered excellent results in a timely manner. Thanks again Brian.

Words can't express how happy we were with the work and customer service at furgerson's! We brought in our 1950 Chevy that needed a bit of work and boy did they not miss a beat! Jose called us almost everyday to update us on what the truck needed, parts, estimates and his recommendations. We knew our truck was in good knowledgeable hands!

Rich was our mechanic, and was so thorough in explaining everything he worked on, and our live into our truck like it was his own! 5 stars if you have a classic car this is the place! I'm sure we will see that again, at some point but for now we are enjoying cruising around town and enjoying our baby Betty Blue!

Great service, quick an pleasant people! I took my vehicle in at 8:30 an they where done by 11:00 they had a ride back an forth to my home for me also!

I've been coming to Furgerson's for a few years, mainly for smog checks. They are always professional and prompt. I normally drop off my car and go for a walk downtown. They are usually done before their estimated completion time.

These guys are honest mechanics. Just fixed up my car real nice. Even took some labor off because one fix was too easy

INCREDIBLY HONEST and always surpised at how well my 2 cars have run, after a visit to Furgerson's! About 20 years or so ago, we had an older Dodge v-10 Truck and Bryan fixed whatever problem it was having and when I got it back, it ran like no other! Tuned to perfection. He kept that 1996 truck running amazing, as it was by then "sentimental". Also, the other day my older Benz had a problem and when I left there was NO charge, as Justin had seen on the records that they had fixed the similar/same problem a year or two ago. I might not have looked back over my records and found this, so THANKS for that! INCREDIBLE!

Over the last 1 years I was first introduced to Furgerson's excellent service with a smog check and oil change. That experience sold me, plus speaking to their long-time loyal customers in the waiting room! In May '19, Service Advisor Evan Todd provided a detailed review of my '99 Camry's auto inspection report: he used understandable language and he prioritized maintenance suggestions for my safety and my vehicle's smooth running.

He showed respect for my budget. Without any pressure, he suggested 3 possible service plans, each with a different cost and ideal timeline to complete. My choice of plans, including installation of new tires, was expected to take a full day, possibly 1 days. By mid-afternoon of the first day's work, Evan phoned to ask if the car could be kept overnight to allow a full post-maintenance inspection the next morning.

I have complete confidence in Evan Todd's integrity and recommendations. And I'm happy to have all future auto work done by any one of the ASE Certified Technicians. Thank you!
