Great company! Family owned and operated. Hildreths Auto Glass John and staff has served this community for a long time. All of my friends and family use them. All my windshields (repairs and replacements), screens, shower doors, closet doors even the Churches light fixture. They always go out of their way to help us and the price is always more then fair. My experience- they don't seem like bad people but be careful. I put all my stock in timing my project based on the initial quote they gave me, and after a week of hearing nothing they got back to me with a quote that was more than double the original quote. I proceeded to get several other quotes that were all in the same range as their original but they told me there was nothing they could do and the project would be more than double the original price.
Bottom line I'm now 2-3 weeks behind schedule, my fault for not getting other quotes originally? Probably but not sure I would recommend. I put too much faith in hildreth, proceed with caution and FYI this was for a glass shower door.

This is the original Hildreth, we've been in the same location for 51yrs and the owner was passed from father to son. The Hildreth in Bohemia has never been affiliated with our business nor would we ever say they were. There are certain employees that only do auto glass and certain ones that only do residential, but there are also some employees that are qualified to do all aspect of glass repair.
We keep our employees in the fields in which they are trained and qualified for. Our labor has always been warranted and we have always honored that. As far as showers, If there is a leak due to improper pitch of the tile, the responsibility falls solely on the contractor, which is written on shower installation paperwork. We can't change tile work. I hope this helps anyone who has been deceived by very inaccurate information that has been posted.
