Can't beat the lifetime warranty. I sent in my transmission to be rebuilt. He has taken every step physically able to assure customer satisfaction. This is the only place I'll ever recommend transmission repair. Rebuild or replace. This place is where it's at. Don is the man to talk to

I took my 95 Chevy Silverado Dually in to them to get rebuilt and they are so professional about everything, took me back and showed me exactly what was wrong with the transmission after they got it out and explained there reasoning of being able to offer a lifetime warranty I HIGHLY recommend them and I've told several people about them since I picked my truck up. A++++++++++ even on the price!

The owner/proprietor of Atlas Transmissions is truly one of the "last of the true believers" when it comes to the fading breed of good, honest, talented, craftsmen in this age who don't merely answer a problem with: *shrug* "replace it." I was in a bind with a major transmission problem on a vehicle that really was not worth the $5,000+ it would cost to replace the transmission, but was also not in a position to be purchasing a new vehicle.

I must have gone to five different auto shops all over northwest Indiana trying to get REBUILD/repair quotes to no avail, no one will bother to repair anything anymore, only replace. Thankfully, I was referred to John of Atlas Transmissions who graciously told me he would be more than happy to rebuild the transmission, and build it back STRONGER using upgraded componetry which would be better than a used replacement transmission would be anyways. Plus, the rebuild cost half of what a replacement job would've. John took the time to look me in the eye, patiently listend to all of my concerns, answered ALL of my questions, never ONCE pressured me, let me know precisely what my options were. Honored his original price estimate to the CENT. Kept me aprised of the repair process with several status phone calls and delivered my repaired vehicle ON-TIME. Additionally, the repair is great, the car drives flawleslly now and a huge problem that impacted my life is no more.

I couldn't recommend John at Atlas Transmission enough! Don't let the humble appearance of the shop sway you away- what matters is his character, integrity and the quality of the work- it's ALL there.

I have owned quite a few vehicles, each time I have an issue or question the manager of this shop is always willing to help me. A little under staffed, but I think that may be the owners fault, not the general manager. Very friendly gentlemen who runs the place, always smiling and willing to help.

John is very honest and professional. When I first came in I told him about all the positive reviews from his business. You know what he's never read a single one. I told him he should because a lot of people like him and his service. He's definitely have a customer for life. I would definitely go back again.

My husband's diesel truck went into this shop for warranty work. It took 3wks, but it's finally fixed. The shop was super busy, and it was going to cost a bit more than what we thought. My husband was without a vehicle for longer than we hoped, but John gave us a great deal in the end.

Atlas Transmission Shop is an outstanding service provider! Over 20 years ago I had my truck serviced by John. He greatly impressed me. As a woman whose knowledge of cars is limited he was very kind understanding and caring. His shop is immaculate. He took very good care car of my truck. I never had any issues with it after that. Also pricing is very reasonable for the services he provides.
