We use Ken's to work on our two church vans and they do a great job meeting our expectations there. However, it was an above and beyond service, they provided yesterday that I want to commend. We had an anonymous individual decide to use the church's parking to change their oil last week and they left behind all the trash and used oil when they finished.

These folks are very honest and I admire that tremendously. This was a tough fix for my vehicle that had lots of delays. I am very pleased with their work. I feel that they do a more complete assessment of a vehicle's needs and the subsequent repair than any GMC/Chevy dealer in town. I would give them 5 stars on every aspect of their repair work and office help. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. $344 dollars for a "diagnostic" only for them to tell me blatantly obvious stuff. They dropped my driver side window into the door but didn't fix it. They popped the body clips out of my headlight. and didn't fix it. Very subpar service for the price paid. This is outrageous. I get my truck is old. But the same level of care should be utilized for every age of vehicle.

Especially with such outrageously high diagnostic fees with zero work done. Literally no work was done. 344 dollars in diagnostic for them to tell me absolutely nothing. "Fuel pressure regulator and maybe an egr gasket" they stated it would cost over $300 for a fuel pressure regulator. Which is a $30 item and takes less than 10 minutes to replace. Do NOT go to this place.

Kens Automotive was amazing, the staffs were friendly and kind and I would recommend all my friends and family to go to kens Automotive. They did a fantastic job on my lil Chevy s10 and I would go back for any other repairs needed to be done on all of my vehicles. Service: Wheel alignment

Went in to have a hole in my exhaust pipe fixed. friendly and cool people inside the business and they got my car done about an hour before I was expecting it to be. They updated me frequently on the status of my car via email and text including pictures of various issues my car has. I found this to be very helpful. It was nice to know exactly what was going wrong and exactly what the status of the repairs were.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that it cost a lot less than what I was expecting. I assure you I will be back here for future service. Update: (3/1/2022): Went in to have brakes done, turns out I didn't need them at the time. Most shops would try to sell you a brake job anyway, but these guys recommended some service on my engine instead might be more relevant.

I had come prepared to spend money on the brakes, but since I didn't need them done, I spent it on some engine servicing instead. Net result is my car runs beautifully, and I can get the brakes done down the road when I need them. Service writers Josie and Kendall are wonderful people to talk to, very friendly down-to-earth humans. I continue to recommend this shop/

From start to finish, communication was great. Ken's analyzed both a brake and starter problem, presented solutions and implemented the fixes we chose. I can always count on Ken's for thorough and professional servicing of my numerous vehicles. No issues with the work done. Current issue is that where they used to give me a comprehensive run-down on services done and further work needed, they now rely on providing an after-the-fact weblink. Had I known about "needs now" work at the time I could have possibly had the work done then instead of running home, reading what could've been done at the time, why some items were flagged ("streaky" windshield wipers?), and not made a return trip. This is particularly aggravating as it involved "Needs now" work. Customer communication seem to have been handed off to a computer.

It's okay encouraging to see the same people working there as when I first stepped foot I'm this garage four years ago. Adds integrity. I would recommend Kens to anyone. Scott runs a great garage and Jackson even left a candy cane in our cup holder on top of the great service. Service: Transmission

They told me it would be a few days to look at my car. I called after 4 days and they say that it was out on standby and that they're not sure when they can get to it, but it would be soon. 4 days later I just went and picked it up because it had been sitting there for a week with nothing, they didn't even call Once and had no idea when they could look at it. Wasted a whole week getting rides while it sat there for a week.

The staff was rude and unapologetic, stating they are understaffed. If you want for your car to sit for a week with no call and rude staff, take it here. Scott is the worst. Don't trust these guys. The reason I was bringing it in in the first place was because they previously worked on it and charged me and the issue re-emerged (was not fixed). Interesting. And then they wouldn't help after they didn't fix it the first time. Steer clear!

I really appreciated the effort they made to get my car in when they were already booked with prior appointments. I was in town from out of state for the weekend and had to get home, but they worked on my car in what little spare time they had. Although they weren't able to find the root cause of the issue, they did get it running again. I feel they went above and beyond the call of duty in order to help me, so, thank you to Scott and the entire team.

As customers for about 8 years or more, we have always received honest reliable recommendations for repairs and maintenance needed. The owner Scott is "peachy" (that means great) and his staff are very knowledgeable, they have the best mechanics, and excellent service! You can trust them to do a great job! It's hard to find that consistency, but we found it at Ken's Automotive.

The drive shaft on my 1993 Ford Econoline fell off as I was pulling out of the parking lot across the street from Ken's Muffler. I immediately called them and they said I could have it towed over. They got me in and fixed the drive shaft and put it new front shocks and my van is driving great! They communicate well and I found the prices to be reasonable. I live in Boulder but now I know I have a place I can trust if I'm ever in Fort Collins!

I had a great first experience with Ken's They were really friendly and professional. It was just an alignment so I didn't shop around much but the fee was very reasonable and they did not try to sell me un-needed or overpriced services which many shops do when coming in for a small repair. After bringing in my vehicle with knowledge of the issue, I was heavily overcharged for parts. I was charged $1360 for 2 cv axles, and a belt tensioner. Being a previous mechanic, I checked the parts pricing, and found almost %100 markup from Napa (where they source all of their parts from) I offered to buy the parts from Napa directly, but was told that they would not warranty them. it's the same exact part, from the same exact store they order from.

I was charged over $600 for a Pittman arm on my blazer, my son was charged over $400 for swaybar links on his mazda. After complaining about the issue not being fixed when I arrived to pick up my car, they went back in, and amazingly it was the power steering pump (just like I said, and the invoice reflects). They replaced the pump at their cost from Napa($163).

I was originally told the pump was over $400 and labor would be over $400. This pump is right on top, and probably an hour labor at most. Then, they found that the belt (previously inspected by their technician and cleared) may be bad. Without my authorization, they installed it, and tried to charge me over $100 for a serpentine belt on a new tensioner.

I told they to remove their $88 belt ($32 if I bought it anywhere else, including Napa). After a total of $1500 I finally got the hell out of there. Now, I'm disabled, and limited on income. I have been a mechanic on the side for 20+ years, and never took advantage like this. I would be doing my own work, but I lost the use of my right hand. I feel that Ken's Muffler and Automotive are price gouging, and will never get my business again. Please avoid. (Cross posted)

My family has used Ken's Automative for years and have referred friends to this establishment as well. Ken's has consistently provided quality care, reasonable prices, and exceptional customer service! Scott is the best! For someone, like myself, with limited automotive knowledge the way he explains what's going on with our vehicles is very helpful! I'm a shop repeat, Having relied on Ken's Muffler since landing in Colorado -- Several SUVs, several full sized pickups, and one American Classic. Service has always been top-notch, staff are professional and knowledgeable. Parts and solutions work, no re-visits. I really appreciate the sound advice of what and why services and parts are being recommended, am provided options and never pressured. "Your vehicle, your decisions". Excellent customer rapport, highly ethical shop. Recommended.

I needed some routine maintenance done on my car and took it over to Ken's. They did an oil change for me. I love that they use AMS oil.because that's what we prefer use in all of our vehicles. They changed my air filter as well. I really appreciate the fact that they noticed my serpentine belt was very cracked and should be replaced. So, I had them take care of that too.

I'll be going back to have them do my brakes, as soon as it's time. The staff is wonderful, professional, honest.and Scott has let me pick his brain on more than one occasion : Highly recommend giving them the opportunity to work on your vehicle.

Happy Campers! After 2500 miles, we were returning home in our motorhome from Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone. We had an annoying noise. Thanks to a flat tire, we discovered our exhaust pipe was vibrating. After contacting all surrounding RV repair centers around Ft Collins, someone suggested muffler repair. We checked Meineke who recommended Ken's Muffler as having a large enough facility for our motorhome. TRUE! Donna arranged for an early morning look on our way out of town with Ken's Muffler. Ken estimated ~$50 and said he would bundle up the wires that were hanging down as well!

Thanks to Ken, 45 minutes later we had a new welded brace on the exhaust and wires tucked away! Since the muffler was barely suspended with a broken brace, another 2,000 miles could have been disasterous. And the invoice was UNDER $50!

I had another automotive shop check out my car when the engine light came on. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter and said it would be close to $2600. Kens muffler was able to do it for $400 for an after market one. I saved a lot of money and everything went smoothly. I will definitely go back if I need help again.

Used to be good, but not anymore. I have been waiting for 1hr 45 minutes now and they are just starting to do the actual work. I had a 8am appointent made last week. Shop is not busy, maybe one other car here now. Used to be fast and inexpensive, now they waste time doing multi poinr inspection, when I told them right away I could show them the one exhaust pipe needing replacing along with the rear muffler that I supplied. $160 for what used to be $50. Making me pay for unwanted inspection. All they want now is more money for other work. This is the last time I will ever use Ken's muffler.

I've had a couple disappointing experiences with mechanics lately, so this was a pleasant surprise. I needed my car looked at because the emission testing center said their was something off about the TPM system. They figured out what needed to be fixed, drove my car to the emissions center (twice!) trying to get everything set up, and were able to shuttle me back to my house.

In the end, I got my car emission tested at no cost (I had driven it back and forth twice myself before they told me what the issue was), and my tire pressure sensors fixed. Still don't quite understand why that effected the emissions so much, but I believe that was a misunderstanding with the emissions center. The staff was professional and helpful.

Chris is such a big help! He's patient, and always puts on a smile. The communication is great! I trust him and the team to be honest and helpful. Most of my questions are answered before I have to ask them. It was also so helpful to have a ride back home after dropping off my car. Thank you, Brenda! I've had many different services done by Ken's. I've been to their shop about 10 times, and my service has been wonderful every time.

Called for an estimate on Thursday, still have not heard back. Marked them off my list. I refuse to do business with companies like this, if you can't get back to potential customers tell them you won't!

Took my Jeep in for a new water pump at 8 am. They quoted me a very general time "the afternoon" it should be done. I called shortly after 5 thinking they must be done by now but no answer. They didn't even call me to let me know the vehicle would not be done that day before they closed. I had to pick up my son from daycare and walk with a car seat 4 miles home.

With all that, the prices seemed high. A water pump online from a reputable supplier was only $65 with free shipping. And their price was $140 for the part and labor the total was quoted at $405. This review is done prior to pick up, they can fix the problem by offering a discount and this review will be changed to reflect how they treat their customers.
