In 1955, Harold and Velda Mills opened Mills Auto Service and Collision Repair. For 15 years they operated a small shop at 902 N Fares. In October of 1970, Don Decker and Jack Vickery purchased the business and by 1977, the operation outgrew its original building and moved to 1018 Maxwell Avenue, where the size of the facility and staff were tripled.
Our technicians and office staff make Mills the community business that it is. The Mills staff goes above and beyond what is expected. Don is a graduate of Central High School and Indiana State University. He married his wife, Sarah, in 1981 and has two boys and three grandchildren that they adore and love spending time with.
We at Mills Body Shop take care of all your paint and body work, and collision. Not only do we offer fiber glass and gel coat repairs for boats and RV's, we have a 55+ foot paint booth, to accommodate large vehicles. PPG paint refinish and certified paint technicians. Experience was a breeze. They communicated very well. Repaired my '19 Ram and fought with my insurance company to make certain that I was able to get all the work done that was necessary. A little over a year later, the work still remains as though nothing ever happened. Perfect match which is what we all would expect. They delivered on that expectation.

I got hit by a deer and needed to fix my front pass qtr panel of car. Everyone else gave me the run around but Mills not only put a temp headlight in my car way ahead of when they got me in. Then got me in earlier than anyone else and got me done faster than anticipated. Absolutely thrilled with my experience, if I need body work again it will be with mills. Prompt and Professional!
