Olsen's Automotive Repair

I brought my 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT to Olsens after a fender bender which resulted in the electronic steering rack malfunctioning. They worked with me and my insurance company to get it fixed fast. When I say fast I mean 3 days, and one day was waiting for the part from Reno. I can't say how much I appreciate Cynthia and Frank expediting the repair and getting me back on the road. Olsens was recommended to me and I will be recommending them to my friends and family. 5 stars, because I can't give more.

Amazing bunch of guys. We're able to fix up my 2013 ford fusion after a spark plug decided it didn't want to be attached to my head anymore.

We had previously used Olsens to get an AC replaced and then went back for an oil change. I was able to sit in their lobby and work while getting the oil changed. But what really stuck me about Olsens was the number of customers that walked in that the lady at the desk knew their first names. I watched one person be referred to another shop since Olsens didn't think they were the right fit for the repair.

We let them know we were driving cross country and they did a whole check over my car to make sure everything was good and topped up my fluids for no charge. This truly is a family run car shop with excellent customer service!

Olsen's does great work - full stop. It's an honest repair shop that charges a fair price for great work! They've worked on two of my cars (Lexus and Honda) and I wouldn't hesitate to take my cars there again.

I will try to be fair and justify my middle of the road rating. Girlfriend broke down 90 min from home and Olsen's is where she and the car ended up. One of the fan belts broke and they would not be able to get to it until the next day. The next day we were informed brakes, battery were also in need of work. The inconvenient broken 25 dollar belt ended up costing over a grand with everything else.

Since we picked up the car after hours, no worn parts were shown. I did not ask to see the worn parts at the time of phone authorization. So, I agreed to the work. The work was done. I paid for the work. I cannot verify all the work was needed. Everyone was nice, polite and the place was clean.

As far as engine/transmission replacement they put in work and come out with great value finds. Their recommendations to address common issues on specific makes/models/years are very appropriate. Their payment plan is very convenient and flexible. I rated 4/5 because I suspected a misfire was occurring due to the odometer jumping during idle and the car shaking subtly.

I realize now that was most likely caused by the variable transmission timing but they went ahead and ran $150 diagnostics without letting me know that's what they planned on doing.

As always, Olsen's did a fantastic job. They are caring, helpful, and take care of all issues in a timely manner. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I completely trust them to take care of my vehicle and do what they think is best.

My sons car had some issues starting and the battery was charging fine. I had him take the car to Olsen's after a friend recommended it. I was a bit nervous about what they would say and if they would take advantage of me being a female and single mom. I asked them to check the alternator and check the air conditioner too. Brian called me and gave me a run down on the car and what he found.

He was more than honest telling me the alternator was fine and the air conditioner was low on freon. He gave me good suggestions and the prices were fair. I will definitely return if I am ever in need of more repairs.

I was unhappy with the many Auto Repair shops that I was using over the years - poor service, unsatisfactory workmanship, expensive and unnecessary repairs etc. A friend suggested Olsen's Automotive, so I gave it a try. I had a pleasant experience when I took my 2004 Honda Accord for repair last week. They are knowledgeable, skillful, courteous and honest.

I was pleasantly surprised when I was given the final bill - they were very reasonable (I even thought that they were less expensive than the other workshops that I have been to). They had a surprise "thank you" gift ready for me when I went to pick up my car. I am happy to recommending this Olsen's Automotive Repair to my friends and relatives.
