I have been taking our cars to Wil ridge for about 9 years now. Very convenient because short walk home. They have always been very good. I heard there was change of ownership just when a car needed to be serviced. I was not happy about the news. A good car repair that you can trust is so pleasant. BUT the new owner was gracious with an unusual need. The staff was so positive. I hope the new owners well. sorry i am not sure what 5 stars means. i just know that service was very good.

I've been taking our cars to Wil-Ridge for nearly 5 years. They never disappoint. They're friendly, know me by name, explain everything they do, and get the work done when promised. The price is always fair, and usually a lot less than at the dealer's repair shop. Plus my dog likes them, so that gives them bonus points! Service: Steering & suspension repair

I stopped in this morning to get my tire fixed I can understand being short staffed but the way you talk to customers is ridiculous. Was completely rude one guy told me to walk into the office and he yelled at me for walking through the shop but your employee is the one that told me to walk through to your office when I was standing outside of the building.

Then proceeded to have an attitude when I asked him if they were available to fix the tire now Without me having to leave my car he proceeded to yell about how he had a person out with Covid and another person outward family engagement. I will never ever come here again

John and his team performed a diagnostic test and replaced the necessary parts so my vehicle would pass the emissions tests. Wil Ridge has been the families go to repair facility for more than 30 years. Would not go anywhere else. Service is excellent and keeps me informed throughout the process. So happy to have this business so close! We bought a pop-up camper and needed to have the wheel bearings packed and lubricated. While we were there, the tongue jack started to pull away from the trailer. We got a new one installed- in a better location for stability. All in two days! I plan to investigate what other services they do because the location is super convenient and they couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

John is awesome! He has been looking after my Honda CRV and my husband's Toyota Tacoma for years. We know we can trust him to steer us in the right direction to keep our cars safe and running. As a woman, I appreciate that John doesn't condescend nor talk me into anything I don't need. My husband recently passed away and I needed to sell his truck to pay for the expensive hospital bill. John took care of just the repairs needed to get me a good price for the truck. He is honest, personable, and professional. As long as John is at Wil-Ridge I'll continue to take my car there to be serviced.

I've been getting my cars serviced at Wilridge since 1985. I've always received quick and great service from them. I mainly go there because John Lipiccolo has always taken great care of my cars. I highly recommend them because of their complete auto service.

The guy who runs the front desk is EXTREMELY ornery and condescending. If you don't know what something is technically he talks to you as if you are stupid. Came in for a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle and he said the timing belt was in need of a replacement. Got two other opinions which identified the timing belt as newly put in and in great shape. Waste of money.

If you can get past the ornery guy that either owns the place or runs the front desk, they may be good, I just don't know because each time I swear I'll never go back there but they are so close to my house the last 23 years. Every time I go in there, I'm shocked at what an ornery and condescending guy he is. I need something fixed, I don't always know what it is called technically but he speaks to me as if I'm stupid - very testy, quick with little customer satisfaction on his mind.

I have been coming to Wil-Ridge for 15+ years. I cannot say enough good things about John and his sense of integrity. They have serviced so many cars for my family through the years, and I trust their honesty. Years ago, when I had a lemon of a mini-van, John told me he wouldn't let his wife drive it and to buy a new one. Even told me that the auto show was in town, so I should go to pick out a new car.

They would have made far more money with me continuing to come in for repairs, but they do the right thing. Years ago I got pulled into another local station with an enticement of an inexpensive oil change. While there they told me I needed a new catalytic converter. I took the car straight to John and he tested it - guess what, didn't need one then and never had to replace it on that car.

They are honest, fair and reliable. They tell you what is urgent in terms of repairs and what can wait. They have helped me out countless times and I will continue to use them, even if I move further away.

I'm 73 and have had a car since I was 16. Wil-Ridge is the BEST auto shop I've ever used. They are fast, reliable, and fair-priced. They will go the extra mile for you. They came to my house and charged my dead battery once for only $10. I trust their diagnosis of problems and opinions about what is needed. They are keeping my 2006 Lexus suv running great.

We are new residents in the neighborhood and I noticed your business when I was out for a walk. Today, my car wouldn't start; after a friend jumped me, I drove to your business. John Lopiccolo greeted me and took me right in where, they diagnosed my problem. My battery was dead so I got a new one. I needed my car serviced, they did that. In fact, they did much more and when I got the bill, I didn't think they charged me enough. These people are the real deal; they do business the old fashioned way. Am I coming back; you bet I will!

No nonsense automotive service that understands the customer is not a complete nincompoop when it comes to mechanics. John never condescends and is always as honest as they come. The only tricky part about Wil-Ridge is their location, especially if you're coming from the east on Central. Other than that, no tricks here, just straight up reasonably priced service and parts.

I have been here 4 times for various jobs, from tire installation to checkups and parts replacement. John won't "steer" you wrong. Keep it up Wil-Ridge. This industry needs more like you.

They are always so friendly at Wil-Ridge. We've been taking our civic there for years and love their service. They even offered to drive me to work when I had to drop off our car to get its brakes repaired. Unlike other places, they are straight with me and tell me what needs to get done now, versus what can wait.

Called and asked if they had the windshield wiper I needed for my truck. Guy answered the phone- said- yup! Not a problem. I drive out there in the rain- remember I'm needing a wiper- get there- struggle with parking in the lot. go in. nope. don't have it- sends me to Pep boys?

We've been using these guys to keep our cars in tip top shape for the past 5 years. They are honest about the work that needs to be done, even if it means sending me to the dealership for something that might be unable to do. I respect that. They have also helped me out in more than a handful of last minute binds that I've been in. John is the best-reliable, responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommend them.

Wil-Ridge is an excellent shop on the north shore. I recently had my car in for an oxygen sensor, they fixed it quickly and professionally and my car runs perfect now. I originally took my car to a nearby shop down the street, they were clueless and just looking to try and rip me off. I wish I would have gone to Wil-Ridge first, they know how to diagnose and fix cars properly. John, Roel and the whole team are true professionals who care about return customers. I stopped by this Sat AM to use the free air for my bike tires. Scott immediately came out to help me. He read the recommended tire pressure on my tires and then attached the air hose properly. The hose has an accurate pressure gauge. Scott's courteous help was greatly appreciated and may induce me to switch from my current long term car mechanic to Wil-Ridge. They seem customer friendly and honest!

Own a Subaru with 42,000 miles. Took my car to the dealer for an oil change. They said I need a new belt for $295 and rear brakes for $595. John changed the belt for $170 and said I definitely did not need the brake job. Great to find an honest repair shop. Definitely will be taking my car there in the future!

I went to Wil-Ridge on the recommendation of a friend who spoke extremely highly of John and his team. My requirement was to check out my car that was being taken out of cobwebs after 4 years in the garage; I know nothing about cars and whatever a mechanic told me I was going to take as true. John's team not only worked quickly, but also let me know what I needed and what I didn't; I was ripe to listen to anything and Wil-Ridge took care of me. This place was there when I needed an AC compressor replaced. Being new to the area I really didn't know who to trust after having a bad experience at another place close by. These guys did a great job and did not over charge and even reservoirs my car for free months later when it malfunctioned. Glad I found this place highly recommended

Wow. Best auto mechanic experience I've ever had. Cole garage in SF was pretty good. But John was friendly and funny and did great work. The turn-around time was quick and did a nice clean job for me. I would drive dozens of miles to go here and get repairs done if you can. Seems very honest and professional.

If you're looking for good customer service, Wil-Ridge Auto Service is as good as it gets! I made a stop here a few weeks ago to have a tire patched. They were able to get me in right away. Quick, easy, affordable. Done. Then I started to hear something funny and didn't know if it was worth me calling the dealership to set up an appointment.

You know how that goes. I called John and asked his opinion and he told me to bring it in and they would check it out and tell me if it was safe to drive and if it needed a repair. I was able to bring the car in the very next day, they took a quick look, determined it was safe to drive and what might be the cause and sent my on my way to make an appointment with the dealership (car still under warranty.) No charge. EXCELLENT service! Thank you Will-Ridge!

Will Ridge worked on a Cadillac my son inherited from my Father and the car was in need of much work. John was up front and gave me good honest advise on how much to put into the vehicle. I appreciated his advise and went with it. The car runs great and I feel confident my son can take the car back to school safely! Thank you John!

It totally makes sense that now I'm moving away from Chicago, I've found a doctor AND an auto repair place I love. I am sad. Good price for some minor repairs (belts) that needed to be made, went back several months later for an oil change and an issue they tweaked at no charge. Thanks for everything, John and all. I hope to find an equivalent repair shop in Portland!

Wil-Ridge! I'm a fan! If only I had a go-to auto repair place like you in the city! So anyway, I've been coming to Wil-Ridge for "replacements" pretty much since I've had my car: replacing headlight bulbs, tail light bulbs, windshield wiper blades, even tires. Every time I've pulled up to the garage door, they've opened right up, let me in, and someone has stopped what they're doing to help me and get me on my way as fast as possible. AND considering I am totally incompetent when it comes to car parts, these guys are really nice, take the time to explain things, and you don't feel in the slightest like you're paying too much or making an unnecessary repair.

If they don't have a part for your car, they'll order it and it will usually be there the next day. As for the repairs they do, like John (might be the owner?) says, "We do everything." Say no more.
