Panacea's keeping my old work truck on the road. Steve's the Best! Service: General repairs & maintenance

Rude! Steve has been rather dismissive and somewhat unfriendly to me on at least two occasions. Panacea came highly recommended by a friend and I used them for a service in the past. It was great until I called to schedule a basic service (a service which Steve recommended by the way) and was brushed aside and treated flippantly, his comment was; "we're not a Jiffy Lube, " etc.

I came in a second time for a price quote on my older Toyota's oil leak and again, Steve was somewhat dismissive and unhelpful. Maybe it's my face, maybe it's because I'm a woman, who knows! Nevertheless I would NOT recommend Panacea Automotive.

Most worst experience ever, My moms truck broke down near his shop we had it towed there. he called us with a attitude saying he could not get it fixed till mid December we said okay that is fine. He calls us back 2 weeks later saying if you don't get your truck out of here I will get it impounded. My mom does not speak fluent English he calls and yells at her to get the truck out of here. This guy is not professional. He basically refused service because we are Indian.

We took our older Honda Civic to Panacea for diagnosis after the car stalled on the freeway and the engine light came on. We were able to slowly navigate to Panacea's location on the Mt. Baker Highway on a Saturday afternoon. Since they were closed, we dropped the key and a note about what happened in their key slot. Without an appointment, we assumed we would be at Steve's mercy to begin any repair on the car the following week.

To our surprise, he began diagnosis within a day and had the car fixed very quickly. He replaced a sensor and the car has run just fine ever since. We are extremely grateful to Steve and Chris for their expertise and their integrity. We have recommended this shop to many others in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

For both of my two service appointments, Steve and Chris were great to work with. They kept me informed and did not miss a beat with my multiple questions. They are truly there to help and service the customer. I am very pleased with the work they did on my Jeep CDR (diesel engine). I will be a return customer for sure! Steve was straightforward and honest, taking the time to explain his assessment and offer common-sense advice. (How often do you hear a mechanic suggest that you "let it ride"?) Steve was friendly & professional. He made sure to ask of any other issues before taking my car in for servicing. Everything was checked, changed, & finished in less time than I would've guessed. No high pressure sales or to invest in something I didn't need (as I've experienced in the past). I sincerely appreciate their knowledge & professionalism, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to trust & take their vehicle(s) to.

Steve is a great person to work with. Really fair prices. Timely repairs. No hard sales. The kind of place you want to continue doing business with for the foreseeable future.

I have trusted Panacea automotive for years now, they have always been very honest in the work they do including explain what they find give you the information you need to know to make the best choice possible even had the part waiting to show me what was the problem, I have even experience times that they actually gotten the job done faster than original quote I agreed to and let me know that it was less cost because of that. that's honest I would have never known otherwise and still would have been happy with the outcome.

Because of there honesty and great work done I suggested Steve and his crew to my mom who is a senior citizen and a widow she came away feeling like the service that she got was above and beyond what she would ever expect. I continue to suggest panacea automotive to anyone looking for top level mechanics and honest business overall.

Panacea is hands down the best! Steve & Evan have gone above and beyond to explain everything to me from beginning to end during my experience of a lengthy ongoing issue. They've been extremely professional, kind & courteous. My vehicle is always ready on time, if not before the time given. I highly recommend this automotive shop to anyone that needs repairs. Have used Panacea for many years now and am overdue in writing this review. I trust them implicitly to do the work I don't have the experience or the time for. On occasion I shop around the more expensive repairs. They always have the best price and fully explain what is involved. Recently they replaced the transmission for $1500 less than the quote I got from SK Motorsports and my car now runs like it did when brand new.

Long story short, a different auto mechanic shop in town "diagnosed" my vehicle's problem and stated it would be a $2500 repair. Panacea Automotive just completed the proper, far less extensive repair for a cost of a little over $700. These guys are honest and competent, plain and simple.

Panacea Automotive Repair is an exceptional business in my opinion. Steve and his crew are 100% honest. I have been told several times that work I thought was required was not necessary. Who does that these days? Integrity is paramount in the way this business is run! I could recommend Panacea to everyone I know without exception.

This is a family owned business located off the Mt. Baker Hwy in Bellingham. I spoke with Phil on the phone about the issue with my car and the quote given to me by the dealership. He was knowledgeable and kind and after hearing how expensive my repair would be (for a timing belt), he offered an in-house credit line to help. My car was finished in a shorter amount of time than he quoted and came in at $150 less than he quoted and $450 less than the dealership. I appreciated the professionalism and knowledge-base of this company, and I highly recommend them. I will be going back in the future!
