Great shop. Great staff and very affordable with a high quality of work

Went in to get my car fixed and left with the same problem that I came in with 4 days after It got "fixed". A delayed issue isn't a solution and for it to get fixed for only 4 days I had to pay almost $800. They changed their story when you would ask specifics on the car. They left out information that shouldn't of been and the owner was rude when I told them I'm having the same problem again.

They wanted to charge for another diagnosis even though the first one was incorrect and it was the same problem that was happening. The owner said it was a coincidence that it was doing exactly what it was doing before. Wouldn't recommend going there. They don't know what they're doing. Waste of time and money.

I will definitely be taking my vehicle to rob going forward for any needs it may have. i brought it in there to have them look at my alternator and the job was done smoothly with ease and had it back fast. hes very honest, does very good work and straightforward with you and doesn't try to steal your money. thank you rob for all you do, i look forward to bringing my vehicle to you for any other mechanical needs it may have in the future.

I have know Rob since he started his business over 30 years ago. He is by far the best mechanic snd best person! Rob is extremely honest and prices are always fair. To find these two qualities is so very far between. Robs auto care is always the very best, and the job is always perfect the first time. If you are looking for an excellent mechanic and all around good person, well then, Robs Auto is the perfect place. You will not be disappointed!

They are so friendly and helpful. My issue couldn't be fixed but Rob did a thorough check to see what he could do. I'll definitely be bringing my car in for all maintenance services.

Good service, fairly affordable, very trustworthy. The owner (Rob) seems extremely knowledgeable regarding cars and car maintenance. First time I went he took me under my car and showed me exactly what's wrong. Rob's Auto Service goes above and beyond.

A+ service. Called to make an inspection appointment when they openthe following Monday. Rob greeted me 5 minutes early and got the car turned around quickly while I waited. Also offered advice on next used car purchase and said they are happy to take a look at potential vehicles free of charge. Great improvement over the shop that used to operate in this location.

I called on a Friday mid day for a 8am Monday morning alignment. I was welcomed by the front desk receptionist. Rob himself promptly took my car in and was on alignment lift at 8am promptly. He spent a good amount of time and periodically came to let me know how progress was going. Rob took extra care on my mustang as it's suspension was modified. He nailed the alignment perfect and had the car out in a very respectable time. Thank you Rob. I will be returning with more vehicles.

Awesome shop.came here for the nitrogen for my tires and they took care of it pretty fast. Very nice people and welcoming. Thanks Rob for the service of my caravan.

This place was great! I called to see if they do pre purchase inspections on cars. I was buying a car from a dealer and wanted a mechanics opinion before purchase. They got me in within 20 mins. Spent time looking over the car and put it on a lift. The guys wrote me down a list of things that concerned them and it helped me make my decision on the car. I would totally recommend them and while its a little far from me for regular mechanic services I would absolutely bring my car there anytime. Great service!

Awesome service, reasonable pricing and friendly staff. Have used them for inspections, tires, muffler, oil change and always feel that I am treated fairly. Give Rob a call for any needed auto jobs; you will not be disappointed.

Robs auto is awesome. He was recommended by a friend when I moved to Smithtown. I've been going here for years and he's always done great work at a fair price. He understands when your on a budget and will let you know what needs to be done now and what can wait a bit. He will even send you somewhere else if he thinks it's a better option for your situation. Honestly unlike a lot of places you never feel lied to or ripped off. I've never felt like he is just trying to get as much money out of me as possible. My Hyundai has 177,000 miles on it and runs great thanks to Rob's.

Wish I lived Near Rob's Auto Service. Brought a car from his local area that I was looking at buying for a pre-purchase inspection. Gave me the complete rundown on the car, recommended a specialty shop to review one issue and wouldn't take any $ from me. Really great attitude! and easy to deal with!

You kiddin me! This is my new go to shop. Hi end shops ruin my vehicles robs fix's then. Do yourself a favor and skip the headaches and go right to Robs, don't pass go don't lay out another 200 dollars just go to Robs. I have 6 vehicles including my company trucks Robs will get them all! Started coming here over 6 month ago after realizing how much the Nissan dealer was over charging. Came to Rob without an appointment and had 2 brake replaced and usual maintenance at nearly half the dealer price. Extremely friendly staff and most of all trustworthy. Highly recommend Rob

Brought my BMW X3 because my brake light went on. Usually I go to the dealership but after many questionable issues about charges for service and repair I decided to try a local auto shop. Also, the dealership was not able to even look at my car that day. I sent a message to the owner through Yelp and he said I could bring the car down to be evaluated. Rob, one of the owners, inspected my front breaks and showed me the worn pads and sensors.

He advised that they should be replaced along with brake fluid. He also polished the rotors which were still ok. The repair cost me 200 dollars and that included labor and parts. I waited in the small waiting room for about an hour and had a pleasant conversation with the clerk in the office. Overall a very pleasant experience and I felt like he was not pulling my leg because I am a woman.

I know at the dealership they charge more because they offer amenities like free coffee, wifi and a loaner car but really do you need all those extras? You could buy 2 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes with the savings. The quote from the dealership was over 500 dollars not including labor- so who knows what they would have charged me. Will probably bring my car here for service from now on.

I was introduced to Rob's Auto service by a friend who's family has been going here for many, many years. The service was terrific and the employees are caring and friendly. All work was completed in a timely manner, billing was a breeze. The lot is large and secured, I had no problem leaving my Jeep with them. I in turn told my family to go here as well & they said their service was just as good as I had suggested. Overall I had a great experience with no complaints. I recommend this auto repair shop to anyone.

My experience with Rob's was not so great. I came in with a squealing noise from the passenger side rear wheel. The noise would happen at low speed and was not affected by braking vs. not braking. This was diagnosed by Rob as a brake problem (warped rotors) and I was told I would need to replace the rotors and pads. This is quite an expensive repair.

I went ahead with the repair and less than 1 month later the problem was back exactly the same. In addition, I believe that the rotors used are inferior parts (not OEM) because they are visibly rusting. Since I have nice alloy spoke wheels, you can see the ugly rusting of the rear rotors. There is no rust on the OEM rotors in the front. So overall, I am not happy and will look elsewhere next time I need work done. Meanwhile, I am still stuck with the original problem.

Extremely impressed with this place. Appreciated the honesty I received regarding the repairs that are needed. Would definitely return.
