Services
Founded in 1969 by Stan Chickering, the company has expanded three times since then. Current owners Dave and Dan Chickering (Stan's two sons) literally grew up in the auto body business and have proven their experience many times since they purchased it in 1992. Today, Stan's Auto Body does any amount of painting, from a single panel to a complete job.
No matter the make, model, or year of your vehicle, we can make it look exactly like you want it to. Our Genesis Inspection Report guarantees you proper alignment to exacting standards, often exceeding factory standards. Our Chart Flex Rack allows us to repair any frame, including unibody repairs. We spent years training our technicians and equipping our facilities preparing for aluminum body repair. We're proud to say that Stan's Auto Body is currently leading the way in high-quality aluminum repair work.
The NH Collision Repair Advisory Group (NHCRAG) was formed by collision repair shop owners and managers from across the state. NHCRAG's goal is to promote the honesty and integrity of the collision repair business in New Hampshire. One of our main concerns is to ensure that all vehicles are safely and properly repaired to pre-accident condition and to manufacturers' standards. Although many shops have Direct Repair Program (DRP) agreements with insurance companies, it is still your right to select a repair shop.

I was in a fender bender and had damage on my driver's side door. I chose Stan's Autobody to complete the work. They not only did an amazing job fixing the damage, but also communicated directly with the insurance and rental car companies making the whole process as quick and safe as possible during the pandemic. Thank you Stans for making a stressful situation easier than expected!

Body work looks fine (although I can clearly see they reused a piece that should have been replaced, but I luckily have a spare I was planning to sell). They're friendly. Story time. My car broke down at their shop the day before NYE and I had to leave it there for a couple days. It was very kind, so I decided I'd go back to then for the body repair I needed, so long as they would let me sell them my own used door for the repair.
And thankfully they said they would! You see, I was in a hit and run, and my deductible was $750. I couldn't afford that even before I blew my motor. Then I was $6000 deep with a parts car in my driveway, so I called them up to see if I would be able to sell them parts (quarter panel, door, mirror, and mirror housing) and they said they couldn't do the quarter, but everything else would be fine.
And at the (insurance quoted) $500, $100, and $200 I should've just cleared my deductible. So I drop my car off, call them and let them know the parts I was selling them well be there in two days when I can get transport, and that's that. Until I bring my door in two days later and the guy, who was the one I first spoke to (the owner, I believe) when making the appointment and being told I could sell them my door, gives me a confused look and says they always have the parts there and they wouldn't buy my door.
It took me saying "I literally cannot afford to pay that $750 so I'll need to take my car back before you do any work on it, then, " for him to realize I wasn't just trying to make an extra buck. Luckily, he worked with me and the numbers and was able to exchange my already painted door for his unpainted door and blah blah blah they bought my parts for $650.
The fact he was willing (though, cornered with the possibility of losing the job and being stuck with a door alternatively) to work with me is one of two reasons they get 3 Stars and not 2. The other reason is I understand I was not easy to work with. My car was not running, and I had a special request to sell them parts. And I realize such a request is abnormal, and it's easy to forget as much when you're looking at a list of jobs and buying parts.
But the fact is this was make or break for me and they should've written down I was supplying parts. It was a massive blunder on their part. Most people won't be running into problems like this. If you just drop your car off and pick it up you'll be fine, and like I said at the beginning they're friendly. My biggest problem that most people might run into is the scheduling was many weeks out.

They helped when others were "too busy". I accidentally backed into the stairs when leaving for work this summer and tore off part of my front bumper (Yes, I'm the most aware and alert driver always). I called around and other body shops told me it would be days to a week before they could even look at my car. Stan's was able to get me in that morning, fix my car in hours, and I made it to work that afternoon. They went out of their way to help and charged a very reasonable rate. I'd recommend them to anyone. Thanks!

Dave, Dan and Carol who own this business are friendly fast and fair! My car was dinged in our residence parking lot and our insurance company recommended Stan's Auto Body for the fix. I went in for an estimate, they checked and took pics, gave me an appointment about a week later for service. I dropped it off on Sunday eve, and it was done on Tuesday afternoon. It was a great experience and my car is back to perfect condition thank to Stan's, Dave Dan and Carol! They are the best.

I just got off the phone with Stan's Auto Body. I had purchased a Subaru OEM Bumper and Spoiler directly from Subaru of Keene (I have the invoices.) They refused to paint the products and put them on the vehicle. They probably utilize inferior aftermarket parts, with a serious mark up. (confirmed the markup over the phone.) I wouldn't go here, unless you had to for insurance purposes.
They obviously are not in business to save the customer any sum of money. I would give them a rating of 0/5 -- for the average cash-paying consumer. You still make a profit from painting panels, and the time removing the old and installing the new. It's not all about insurance work.
