Legendary service over at Autobahn express. We got our VW Jetta diagnosed at Volkswagen where they told us that both of our radiator fans needed to be replaced, without doing a in depth look at both. When we brought it to Autobahn, he laughed at their report and took a better look only to find out that they were just trying to get more $$ out of us, and he was able to replace the ONE fan that needed replacement for a way better price. Will bring all of my VW troubles here from now on.

Exceptional experience all the way around. Thomas was the only shop owner who LISTENED to what I thought the problems were with my VW CC, and he asked me probing questions to narrow things down, e.g., even asking what brand of gas I use. This simple variable was the root cause of the problem I was experiencing. He ruled out the suspected suspension fault I thought I had. Very fair, honest, and trustworthy. He has earned my business moving forward.

Watch out for places like this. Might do good work but they don't appear to know how to earn a customer, are not professional in the least, and clearly take advantage of unknowledgeable people charging fees like $100 for the most simple thing you can do on a car. Stopped by this place to have my Airbag Light in my dash reset. A procedure like this would take aprox. 2 mins with no effort or specialized skill involved (the computer tool required for this costs as little as $60 on Amazon and is simple enough for a child to use). Asked if they would be kind enough to either let me do it or if I could pay them $10 for a quick help out.
I was met with a rude "No" by the receptionist at which point the man working on the cars sarcastically said "I charge $100 just to hook up the computer." At which point I told them I could buy the tool and do it myself for nearly half that. They responded with "good luck with that then" and I quickly took my business elsewhere. It's a shame as I have 2 German cars with major services coming up in the next 6 months and I'm looking for a good shop to take them to. There's plenty of options out there in Sarasota, and people deserve something more professional and friendly, and ethical than this place.

Tom and the whole gang from Autobahn Express are exceptional. First: Tom is exactly what you want when you're looking for a professional to maintain and repair your German vehicle. He's taken great care of us with our MINI Cooper-he's knowledgeable, experienced, and doesn't traffic in BS. His advice has been spot on, and the repairs and service we've received have been first class.
More than that, you can really tell that he cares about his work. He sweats the details and he's a wealth of information. The other mechanics he's got working for him are excellent as well, and Tammy in the front office is a hoot. For any BMWs or other German vehicles I own in the future, Autobahn Express will be my shop!

I brought my 2014 Audi to Autobahn Express because my check engine light came on. After running the code, Thomas realized it was due to a faulty emission problem. He remembered Audi had extended the warranty on this problem and told me they would correct the problem at no cost to me. It is so refreshing to meet honest people.

You can't go wrong here with your VW. I have had a couple cars worked on and I have always left satisfied that the work was done thoroughly, professionally and at a fair price. The location and facility is not pretty, but the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Bring your own coffee and leave knowing the work was done right.

Excellent.would give 10 stars if I could. A friend recommended Tom as I received an estimate from another shop for an alternator for my BMW that seemed a bit high @ $1200. I brought the car in and my alternator was fine, the car just needed coolant. Thank you for being honest! I appreciate the 'I don't fix things that aren't broke' motto. I'll be back when something does break.

I've been taking my cars here for over 20 years and these guys are the best! I first took my out of warranty BMW there because they cost less than the dealership. That was critical to me at the time. Not only were their prices reasonable, they did a great job. Thomas has always been honest with me, telling me when I really needed to fix something and when I could wait.
I drive my cars a very long time - 200,000 miles if they make it, so they need good service. I've never felt like they fixed something that wasn't broken. They truly care about me and my well being, keeping my cars safe for me and my family. I don't drive a BMW anymore, but I will only drive a car they will agree to service, because I don't want to find a new place.
