Jim was passionate about great service and customer satisfaction. He treated me as though I was his most important customer. He saved a poor college student money with a rebuilt water pump, and my 1977 Datsun B210 and I became loyal customers. Time marches on and my great friend Jim has passed. However, his family still runs Fort Collins Muffler with the same dedication to service and customer satisfaction.

I drove from Greeley (because Greeley muffler shops are very unprofessional) to these guys and I would highly recommend this place. Great service. Honest, good work and affordable. If you live outside of Ft. Collins and are needing work done, it's worth the drive. Service: Auto exhaust system repair

When I dropped my 2014 Toyota Highlander to have some brake work done on it, Aaron & his crew were honest enough to tell me that until the brake pads needed to be changed, the rotor shouldn't be bothered. I could've ended up throwing down hundreds of dollars in unwarranted repairs. But, instead, as they've always done, they treated me with the kindness, respect and honesty. I appreciate doing business with them. Long term business relationships matter and they get the big picture.

We were passing through Fort Collins on a cross country drive and started to have some brake issues and Aaron and Nick were super helpful! They squeezed us in early in the morning so we could get out of town on time, diagnosed our issues, and gave us a great honest estimate with no pressure or upselling. Would highly recommend to everyone.

We were on a road trip when our exhaust pipe was crushed while off-roading. We stopped in Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive where Aaron took a look at my car and the issue. He was able to schedule us in early the next morning and he had it fixed for a reasonable price. He also made sure to show us the issue and the fix so we could see the work done with our own eyes. Thanks for fitting us in and getting my car fixed; 10/10 would recommend. Aaron was extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks again!

The metal skid plate on the underside of my car came loose and became bent when I was driving over some snow/ice, and it was scraping the ground when I drove. I took it to Fort Collins Muffler & Automotive, and although they were technically booked days out, Aaron was able to squeeze me in for an appointment later that same day. After working on it for only about 15 minutes or so, they were able to get it bent back and re-attached, and they didn't even charge me for it! The service advisors were really friendly too, and I'm incredibly grateful they were able to get my car fixed so quickly and easily. Definitely a great experience!

I came back from vacation and found out that someone had attempted to steal one of my catalytic converters. Not sure how they didn't make away with it, but my exhaust was cut open and sounded/smelled/felt terrible. The shop was able to get me in first thing in the morning, give me a very fair quote for the work and meet my schedule needs to have the work completed before noon.
They also were kind enough to drive me to and from the shop so that I didn't have to wait there. Their communication about what was needed throughout the process was excellent. I felt like my opinions of the issue were taken into consideration and respected. Even though this was a more straightforward job, I feel comfortable bringing more complicated jobs in. Lastly, their mask policy was excellent. I felt comfortable my entire time interacting with the staff. I will definitely be going back in the future for work I am unable to do myself.

What's the number one thing you need when searching for an auto repair shop? Honesty, integrity and fairness are all #1 in my book, and these folks bring it all. I really can't rave enough about how much I appreciate the frank discussions and great work this shop has provided. My only regret is it took me so long to find them!

I have used Fort Collins Auto and Muffler for years now. I have a job that requires a vehicle 24/7, on call and I have always been satisfied with their quick turnover with good results. I also had an old collectible car in their shop for awhile, and with it's unique issues they still persevered. I appreciated their attentiveness to a unique vehicle that I love and have difficulties attending to.
Even after it blew a hose in the first week of driving it, after being at their shop for a month, they fixed it for me without an extra charge. I highly appreciated it. Aaron/Erin in the shop is also great and very accommodating! I definitely recommend this place as FoCo resident!
