I discovered Collie's last year and very glad I did. I was referred by a neighbor who has been bringing his Mercedes here for years. They certanly know their stuff and helped me out with my MB. They have an upbeat attitude, are helpful, explain things clearly, and are very professional.

Absolutely wonderful experience, knowledgeable, pleasant, I saw how they treated an elderly woman, this is a issue with me (I've seen other shops take advantage of my mother) I'd tell my mom to go here with no worries.

Collie is great. Mercedes experts, but I have seen other makes there too. This is the go to place once your Mercedes is out of warranty. Fast, fair and honest. They've serviced 2 Mercedes for us for over ten years.

Really like this place, honest and will take care of your car like it is theirs. I'm glad I came across this place years ago on Yelp and continue to be a customer. They were super helpful by providing transportation back to my house. And gave me a call to provide a breakdown of repairs and how much it would cost. Highly recommend if your an owner of a Mercedes and want to put your car in the hands of people that know what they are doing!

Excellent service on our sprinter when the dealership wait was 2 months, and a drive to Santa Rosa. Collie is the place, and I will steer friends there.

Responsive, intelligent, quick turn around. My Mercedes battery failed while I was out shopping, and I knew it was a specialized item (1 of 2 batteries in the car, dedicated to car starting). Tried to call the dealership (who have serviced the car for the last 10 years) as they were fairly close. Nobody to answer multiple call attempts apart from a car salesman " we don't sell batteries" and voice mail.

They still have not got back to me after 7 hours. Got a jump start from AAA, called Collie, they picked up immediately, took details, called back promptly to verify they had what I needed. Fixed that afternoon, pleasant experience dealing with them, fair price.

Went in for a safety check anticipating a long road trip. Tires needed replacing and Collie ordered and installed new tires, did all necessary adjustments required during the safety check and I was on my way. Denise as usual very helpful, professional and accommodating. She even turned me on to my "new" favorite Mexican Restaurants in the neighborhood while I waited. These guys are a AMAZING. After the last mechanic blew my transmission hose line after an engine replacement in my T1N sprinter, I had my van towed two hours to this shop. They fixed the problem within a couple days and will be my go-to when I'm in the Bay Area! Extremely friendly, honest and knowledgeable people working here. I fully trust them with my home on wheels.

Fantastic service and honest pricing. The service mangers are friendly and explain things in a manner easy to digest. I won't take my Sprinter anywhere else!

This review has been LONG overdue! Anyone who has a German car with issues knows that they can be a head ache, and my VW certainly was a disaster. I took it to Collies, & they were upfront about the repairs, helped out with the price, and did an outstanding job. They work on everything from your average daily driver to rare AMG sport cars from the past and present.

I actually drive by on a regular basis just to see what they are working on. To say they went out of their way does not even begin to describe their efforts, and I could not say enough about all that the Collie team did to help me during a frustrating experience w my car. Their service work alone is absolutely worth the 5 stars, but the customer service is unlike anything I've experienced before.

I'm looking forward to getting my next German car because I now have a mechanic I trust and appreciate. If for some reason you're still on the fence, I promise you will not be disappointed with Collie's.

The staff is extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. My car was quite a headache, but the team at Collie went above and beyond to make things right while also trying to help me out as much as possible. I've never experienced customer service like I did while I was here, and was treated like family even though it was my first visit. To explain the situation I was in would take far too long, but they handled things way above and beyond what I was hoping for.

Even now I drive by just to see what they are working on. everything from your normal daily driver to very special, new and vintage AMG cars. They can do it all! I 100% trust them with my cars, and feel confident getting future German vehicles knowing that I have the best shop out there to keep it running and/or fix any issues. If you need a shop and you're on the fence about trying some place new, I promise that you will not be disappointed @ Collies!.

I bought a 2006 Dodge Sprinter a few months ago to convert into a camper and brought it in today to get serviced. I did a lot of research to find a mechanic that I felt I could trust and depend on and my experience at Collie exceeded all my expectations. Denise and the team were incredibly professional and friendly and provided very helpful answers and suggestions to my questions. I'm grateful I found them and will be returning for years to come.

I wish I could add another star to my rating of Collie Autoworks. They have repeatedly provided the highest level of excellence in both the servicing and repair of our two Mercedes Benz vehicles for many years. In my opinion there is no better Mercedes Benz service and repair than Collie Autoworks, they are number one. I just had repair and services performed on our 2003 MB C-240 at Collie Autoworks returning home with my usual 100%-plus level of satisfaction. We are so fortunate to have a "Collie Autoworks" in Marin.

I am recovering from a stroke 11 months ago. Before that, I did most of the repairs on my Mercedes Benz. As a result, my car was in disrepair and so many little things needed to be done. I was referred to them by Ted Bright with a glowing recommendation. He was totally right. They did 110 % perfect and professional. I would very highly tell all to take my advice and let this place diagnose and repair anything needed that should be done I thank all at this amazing business and will definitely continue to return.

I brought my car (a 1971 Mercedes 280 SL convertible) to Collie automotive. They worked through many issues which were not their fault and honored the warranty on the fuel injector pump rebuild. It took 4 rebuilds to get the job done right. Darren continued to work with the injector pump vendor until he received one which worked. I'm sure this was one of his most trying repairs and i'm thankful he stayed the course and got my car running properly. Thank you Darren!

Collie Autoworks was able to find the problem with my Sprinter van low beam headlights in about 15 minutes.

The most honest and knowledgeable mechanics I've ever come across. They took my not running 1968 Mercedes and spent time replacing a number of parts they preferred from Germany and have the car running great. They took their time and did he job correctly.

We just picked up our Mercedes's 450 GL from Colliers! Ever so impressed with place! They are honest, reliable, friendly and upfront about any concerns or car problems you may have! Our old mechanic died and we had to find a new one! This place came highly recommended and we see why! Excellent! They are very busy for a reason! Hey what can I say this my second post because these guys are so awesome! I've been a customer of Collie Autoworks for more than 5 years and every time I bring it in they always amaze really. I have a 1999 Mercedes SL 500 AMG and given the age of the vehicle things are expected to break down every once in a while. Well this time it was my passenger window that went off the tracks and would not reset properly.

The trunk lock actuator also failed. As we all know working on the electronics of a vehicle can really be a challenge. Roger, Darren and Denise also went to work on securing great deals on parts as well so I wouldn't have to pay retail and we all know how that can be Mercedes. Through all the challenges of trying to get everything to operate right Darren succeeded as usual while working extra hours of which he did not charge me for (Thanks Darren!).

Bottom line is no matter what the challenge these folks always come through. Darren is a Mercedes genius and has a track record of success since bringing my car to Collie. They also are sensitive to the fact folks work for a living and don't want to sacrifice several mortgage payments for auto repairs. Excellent service at a reasonable price is what these folks are all about at Collie.

I consider myself a lifelong customer for as long as I'm in the area and maintain my appreciation for Mercedes quality and workmanship which I consider simply the best! Keep up the great work Collie Autoworks! Larry D

Long and complicated repair on my Mercedes, weeks of chasing the problems, but all was done to full satisfaction and confidence. I do all basic maintenance/brakes/suspension, and rebuild classic cars and motorcycles as a hobby, so I have a good idea of competent and honest mechanics. My cars go in the shop when it is a serious problem I cannot handle.

The whole team at Collie give that feeling that they know what they are doing and take pride and responsibility in their work and service. Plus my car came back so clean it felt brand new again even with 130,000 miles.

This review is long overdue, I have an 1982 Mercedes Benz 300d that I inherited from my dad. My dad loved them and multiple times I have brought it to them and they have always been upfront and honest about what needs to be done and how much it costs. There was a time when I did go to another mechanic just to have a comparison and never got the same level of service or attention.

They understand if you don't have a lot of money to spend, and they really understand Mercedes to a T. I know this because multiple times the repairs have come in under budget, which says a lot about what they value. Overall a great honest repair shop, just call ahead because it's not a secret how good they are.

Brought our Sprinter-based RV for a major service at Collie. I race cars as a hobby and I am an experienced mechanic, but I needed a shop who could handle a turbo system overhaul. My experience means that I am an informed, demanding customer, and I'm highly skeptical of new shops. Collie came highly recommended by two other local independent mechanics (they service other European marques), so I tried them out.

We could not have been happier with their service. The staff are friendly, professional, and very straightforward to work with. They did a fantastic job on the repairs, installed 4 new tires, gave the van a thorough inspection and pointed out other things it will need in the foreseeable future (instead of pushing early services like so many dealers do), and -- best of all -- their prices were totally reasonable.

And how about this for going above and beyond. We made the mistake of leaving some food in our small freezer in the refrigerator, which obviously spoiled given that the RV was not hooked up to shore power during the repairs. :-( Rather than just ignore it, the staff threw out the spoiled food, ventilated the RV so that the smell wouldn't soak into the interior, and they even attempted to scrub the fridge to help us out!

Despite it being our own silly mistake, Collie did everything they could for us to have a good experience. You don't often see that kind of conscientious behavior. Collie will have our business as long as we have a Mercedes.

The team at Collie has been taking care of all of my Mercedes for a few years and I can say that I have never been treated better, including from the dealership! I find them to be trustworthy and the quality of work very reliable and their prices fair.

It's hard to swallow spending almost $2k for unexpected repairs, but I love my old car and I am happy with the service I received. I had remembered Roger when they had done a good job on my girlfriend's Mercedes (their specialty) but still I was hesitant with my BMW. This shop is very busy and I had several major issues so it took a while even for the estimate, but a better rate than my usual go-to mechanic plus door-to-door shuttle service eased the pain.

The car had started misfiring and stalling, and to make matters worst, the tired ignition key assembly finally fell apart internally. I was hoping the two were related but I knew better. They had to replace the entire assembly and its components which because of the anti-theft design, had to be cut out of the column with a grinder (yikes). I got a new assembly, ignition switch, tumbler, and factory key matched to the VIN.

The misfire was fixed with a new fuel injector, and I also agreed to replace the seeping water pump, plus all fresh belts, so it was no joke. When the job was finished Darren answered all my questions and I got a good vibe from him, as well as the rest of the staff. They also took the time to wash my car which was a nice touch. Very happy with these guys.

I wrote a more extensive review last year and just wanted to say that what I said in my previous review still is true. Collie is fair, honest, trustworthy, and as an added bonus, they put up with my occasional grumpiness. Thanks again Collie for your excellent service on my (grown) daughter's 2009 ML350!
