You don't need to be an experienced Transmission Technician to know that a reliable and honest shop is not capable of quoting a fair competitive price for transmission repair without doing a comprehensive diagnostic road test and inspection. In todays complex computerized transmissions it is nearly impossible to diagnose a problem over the phone.
Don and Zach at RPM are the BOMB. I ripped off my windshield wiper in a carwash accident and they had me fixed up and out the door (with a fussy Audi Part) installed in less than 2 hours from the time that I called them to explain the problem. In the process they fixed an issue with the wiper arm (that had been long standing) and did a little research to help me figure out how to prevent the wipers from going into panic mode in the future.

I could not be more pleased and impressed by Scott and RPM Automotive! Terrific service, courtesy, and price. Let me tell you my experience: I took my 2011 Malibu to the Chevy dealership in Glen Burnie when it hit 100,000k miles for that maintenance milestone. While working on it, they let me know that my exhaust manifold was cracked (my car was rumbling like a dang boat), and wanted to charge an arm and a leg to fix it.
I balked and started looking for alternative mechanics. Called Scott, who said he'd do it for 1/3 of the dealership quote, just had to order the parts he needed. 3 days later I dropped off my car overnight for the service, only for Scott to call first-thing in the morning to say that, unfortunately, the parts hadn't been delivered on time. No big deal, we can reschedule, and did so.
A few days later, the work (which included some unforeseen issues with the mounting brackets) was done perfectly, AND for less than originally expected. He put in extra hours, costing him time and money, to get the work done on the same day. Scott's got a customer for life - and the car sounds better than it has in years.

I was very pleased with the service. Scott told me exactly what the problem was and how much it would cost. Prior to coming to RPM, I've had work done on my car at a couple other mechanic shops and I've been overcharged and the quality of the work was poor. Scott explains what needs to be done and if possible, he gives me options. Thanks Scott

My car wouldn't start and I felt stranded one morning. I tried to jump it with my jump box and it just wasn't happening. I called my insurance to tow it to a repair shop. I should have called first because they were too busy to even see it. I had to call the tow company again but this time to Rpm Automotive. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming and so was the mechanic.
They told me my Battery was corroded and it wasn't tight. I changed it myself a week ago. I could have sworn it was the alternator but it wasn't. They cleaned the battery and even tightened up my weather strip on my door which was loose. Every time it rained it poured but not any more thanks to the team at Rpm. I can't thank them enough for taking my car in and being honest.
When people do great service and are polite you should let the world know so that's why I decided to write this review. I will be using them from now on and if you're reading this give them a shot, you won't regret it. Stay blessed Rpm team

It was my first time coming in. I was kind of hesitant because it's also my first car, so I don't know much. I came in because of the great reviews. The great reviews are true! I came in to get my flex pipe fixed and they called me to let me know that unfortunately I had to get my whole exhaust replaced because someone had recently STOLEN my catalytic converter!
I gave them the ok, and they had it replaced THE SAME DAY, I was honestly expecting to not get it back until Monday. When I came to pick up my car, the gentleman took me to the back to show me my old muffler and explained to me why people take the converters. He was very informative and patient. The receptionist was also very kind and patient. What the guy told me struck a chord, as I'm a manger for another business: "you want to have returning customers" and I totally get that. Well RPM, you definitely won over another returning customer! Thank you so much!

These guys are absolutely amazing!they went above and beyond to get me into a tight schedule and get my alternator changed! For a great price too! I am 850 miles away from home for work and was in a bind with a broken alternator; I couldn't find ANY service for less than $690! I called them and they quoted me $370! The gentleman didn't even charge me extra for the extra time it took to remove the brace on my car that had to be removed.
They truly saved me! They were so helpful to me and made everything so streamline and easy for me that I just couldn't be happier with the situation. I would and will recommend them to anyone and everyone I know that needs automotive repairs in the area. I work for spireon( a GPS and telematics company) and have co-workers that travel the country like I do and most likely will be here at some point or another.
They will get all of our business when we are in town guaranteed! Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable are 3 words to describe this shop. Owners Ron and Kathy will take the time to explain the issue, offer options, and help you decide what is best for you and (more importantly) what you can afford. They don't insist on unnecessary repairs just to increase their bottom line. RPM is a full service shop with all the latest up-to-date technology and tools, and can handle anything you bring in to them.
