Family run place; Martin handles the shop, Carla runs the office. Honest, reliable, reasonable. Good place, good people.

Bought a crank from them on 3/26 and he said if they can't be fixed he would issue a refund. Machine shop (Paradise told me to take it to) said it can't be fixed on 4/8.13 days later. I asked to return on 4/8, per our agreement and he told me it's not his problem. Not honorable. Not a man of his word. In this day and age, dealings with dishonest people is unfortunate but happens. Be careful. Updated post to show dates.

Great shop and people. Good communication and well skilled. I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because I thought 72 dollars for a tire rotation was a bit steep. Prices for other services were right on par and fair though. Overall I'm happy and would come back. Wouldn't get my tires rotated again though.

I was very pleased with Paradise Auto Care. They looked into my issue, and responded quickly of what needs to be done. The price was reasonable, and they were quick with doing the job. Very friendly. I recommend Paradise Auto Care. I still have work to do on my car, and I will be going back to get that work done.

I took my 1968 Corvette into Paradise for some work. I asked Martin to adjust my exhaust piping and look at a 'clunking' noise when I put my car into reverse. The car is not a show car and I explained all of that, as well I had a limited budget. Martin kept the car for a week. Called up and said it would be $5,500.00 to fix the car. He went on about the rebuild of the front end, rear end, etc., and unless I went with his suggested repairs, he didn't want to do any of the work.

This car is big block 427 with a tri carb setup. He said my carb's needed to be rebuilt, the spark plugs were glazed (you'll hear that on any old car you bring in), etc. None of this is what I wanted or asked to be done. The carbs had just been rebuilt by Major Murray in Portland, a very reputable shop. Brand new factory plugs installed. I ended up having to pickup my car and was charged $120.00.

My car died on the way home and would not idle at all. I opened the hood and found the air cleaner base plate carb gasket (between the air cleaner plate and carb) sitting in the valve cover/intake valley. He clearly removed everything and adjusted my carbs! I didn't ask or authorize any of that work and he sent me home like that, didn't put it back to where it was.

Now I have to either re tune these carbs myself or take it to someone. Those carbs were tuned perfectly before Martin touched them. Here's the bottom line. Paradise does know mechanics, but Martin 'goes off' on weird/odd tangents and does repairs that are not required or asked for. He came back to me 3 times on the repair needed for the 'clunk' noise.

I left never confident he really knew. Bottom line, they know old cars, are good at times (when you can get him to focus), but it's either Martin's way or the highway, he doesn't listen to his customers and they are NOT reasonably priced. Who else is left in Tigard? I've used Paradise several times over the years and it's the same every time. Not fixed, not fixed right, glazed plugs, etc. There's a reason you can get your car right in right away! Only go if you're desperate and good luck!

My former mechanic retired so I was left trying to find another! My 2 walking buddies, who never knew each other until I introduced them, both recommended Paradise! Both have been going there for yeas. I was not disappointed in my car repair and cost was what I thought it would be. Nice people--old fashion customer service.

This guy is a great mechanic, will do A+ work a lot less expensive than the dealer or large chains (Les Schwab). You can tell he really cares about what is best for you and your vehicle. I take both my vehicles here.

We recently had a bunch of work done on our '69 Ford Bronco. I can't say enough about Martin, Carla and their team at Paradise Auto Care. They were more than fair on price and did quality work. We got our car back within a week and it runs beautifully. No detail was missed. The whole experience was positive. We will be repeat customers for sure!

I first went to Paradise 7 years ago when we lived close-by, and although we now live 35 miles away we still take our vehicles there. Martin, Carla and their team always provide great service for our cars and trucks. They even found a faulty brake repair from a local Subaru dealer years ago which the dealer then corrected with new parts. I never need to question why Martin recommends something and we've trusted Paradise with many vehicles over the years.they are consistently good. I've recommend Paradise to friends and family and continue to hear good reports.

Martin and Carla are amazing! This is one of those rare shops where they treat you with respect, don't try to over-sell, and do great work at a reasonable price. My truck broke down and they had me up and running in a day and took care of all the insurance/warranty hassles for me. My co-workers recommended them and I won't go anywhere else from now on.
