Highly recommend this place. My niece bought a used car and I wanted to get it checked to make sure it was in good condition (yes I probably should have done that *before* we bought the car but you live and you learn lol) We called early this morning and were able to be seen within an hour which is amazing. Monday morning headed to work, I get off on sunrise and my car starts to shake. I am panicking because the only mechanic I know is in south sacramento. I call a couple places on mercantile and they don't pick up. I call Hathaway and he picked up and was so nice and helpful. He asked me some questions and said he could help right away! I get my car there ASAP to the shop.

He was very nice and professional. Did exactly what he said he would and called me and gave me a price for what needed to be done. He did an amazing job and was so trustworthy. Helped get me my car within a couple hours. He also told me some things I should do to keep my car in good shape. Thank you so much! I got new rotor and brake pads for my 2016 honda pilot for a road trip to Sacramento. Once I was there, the brake pads were loose and had trouble braking because of a missing bolt. Clutch went out on my 2008 ranger. He got me in right away. Quick turn around time(about a day). Great communication. I stopped by while he was working on it and he went through all the parts that were damaged and the new ones.

I called Hathaway Auto Repair (formerly Allen Imports) on a Sunday hoping to do a used car inspection. Brian answered even though they were closed, and proceeded to give me very helpful advice. So I waited until the next day to have the vehicle inspected and felt way more comfortable buying it after going over the pros & cons and knowing it had been seen by a professional. Wow! Best work I've had on my cars ever! Brian solved multiple issues with my husbands suv in less than two days and even a month after service, it drives better than the day we bought it! After fixing my husbands car, I took my Lexus in for breaks and new rotors. Brian booked my appointment for the next day and got my car done in a couple of hours! Amazing! Brian from Allen Imports was so impressive. My air conditioner went out and I took my car to another company. It was way too expensive. I looked thru Yelp and read reviews, to get a 2nd opinion. My first impression was how he talked to me on the phone. He didn't not talk to as ignorant person. I brought my car in and he looked at it and was able to come up with a solution that I was able to afford. Then the most impressive thing he was able to fix it, the very next day! I am so impressed! He is my new mechanic from now on. I will recommend him every time!

Brian is 100% the best guy to go to for auto repair. He's honest, hard-working and reliable. Dropped my car off on a Saturday for an emergency 1 day only repair for suspect loose exhaust manifold, it turned out to need an engine mount, if that wasn't enough, the bolts were broken and had to be extracted, and at 8:00 Saturday night, Brian was true to his promise and had the car finished and ready for pickup. five stars Brian, Thanks!

After trying to be screwed over by the dealership i knew the service was too costly so i called other places. Said i needed new brakes and my cars around 25k miles. Found allen and decided to bring it in right after i got my car from the dealership. he was the best deal for brakes in Rancho from my numerous calls. On the phone he sounded a little bit confused on why a car like mine with very little miles would even need new brakes that the dealership said was "beyond due". anyways, i show up and he greets me and my son right away and i say can you jus check my brakes to make sure i actually need new ones because i have a big feeling i don't. he goes out to my car and checks all my tires and what would ya know?

I don't need new brakes. i love an honest auto shop/repair man because they are SO hard to come by. He could have easily told me i needed new brakes and i would have believed him, but he was honest instead, which is why when i do need new brakes or another service, i will be going to him for sure. so Allen, thanks for making my Christmas a little more merry without new brakes lol! BRIAN has been servicing our cars so long that I can't remember when we first found him. But he always remembers us! And what we need - when we need it. My Toyota 4-runner is inching up to 400,000 miles and I trust BRIAN to let me know what I need to do to keep it safe. Our other car, an Acura, is newer and also kept in top condition by BRIAN. In this industry it is hard to find trustworthy mechanics and auto shops. You can rest assured that Allen Imports is NOT one of the dishonest ones! I got brakes inspected at one shop and was told I needed both front and rear brakes. Got a quote that was pretty high and shopped it around. Got a much lower quote for BOTH sets of brakes so made appointment to have them done here. An hour after dropping the car off I got a call saying my rear brakes were only at 50% and I could get another 30K+ miles out of them.

My bill dropped even more! He could have easily just done the repair without letting me know but he took the honest approach and now has a repeat customer. You just dont hear about that often with repair shops.

This guy Brian - what a generous and helpful soul! He helped me out for literally zero compensation. I was selling a vintage collector car to someone in a different state that sent an inspector to look at it. They wanted to put the car on a lift to look at the undercarriage. I called a few places in the area, asking if we could pay to use their lift for 20 minutes, and they turned me down.

I called Brian who said yes, and even allowed us to come on a Saturday morning when he admitted he would be busy. I tried to pay him for his time and effort and he said he wouldn't charge anything for "5 minutes of work". Really much nicer than he needed to be. The process went smoothly and I ended up selling the car, which has been a blessing. Thank you Brian, I will come to you next time I need any work done on any family car.

I had my car worked on at a chain auto repair shop, but after driving a bit, I noticed that my car didn't drive entirely the way I thought it should. Concerned that I might have been "had", I called around for a second opinion. Allen identified the problem, fixed what needed to be repaired, and helped smooth things out with the prior repair shop. He is efficient and his services are worth more than he charged me. I trust and respect his work.

I recently had my 105,000 mile maintenance done here this past week. This included timing belt water pump spark plugs and front brakes pads and rotors. It was a very pleasant experience. Great customer service and unbelievable prices. I just wish it didn't take me two mechanics before I found these guys.

I've been taking all 3 of our family cars to Brian for a few years now. He has great customer service and is a straight shooter. He'll give you advice about what should be done and what you can hold off on. I never get the sense that he is doing an up-sale on any of his work. Do yourself a favor and give Allen Imports a try!
