Needed to have coolant checked on Gretta ( 2018 VW Atlas SE 3.6) Stopped by our usual place (not a foreign place at all) and decided to do an oil change as well. They could not find an oil filter and if they went thru any other place than Napa etc they would get charged $30 and then up the amount to me so if I could find one and bring it too them it would save me close to $80.
So I took your advice and called Silver Star. They would have charged me only $17 for the filter. So I asked them how much for the oil change and fluids.100$ approx. Which was comparable to my other place. When can you get me in? Friday morning, until their tech came around thecornrr and said, we can get it now, bring her in. $100.83 for everything.
While waiting I had the most fun, informative, and interesting 45 minute conversation with the new owner Scott. We talked about just about everything family, work, life, everything! Good news is they service foreign AND Domestic cars. Great business!

I brought my BMW in for a pre-purchase inspection, was told it would take a couple hours. Scott (the owner) gave me a ride home and said they'd call when the inspection was done. A little before 5 my doorbell rang and Scott was there to let me know the car was done, but they had a wrong phone # for me! He brought me back to the shop and we completed the transaction, Mollie was apologetic, unnecessarily (mistakes happen!).
She updated my info and Scott brought my car around. Everything had checked out great. The customer service was above and beyond anything I've ever experienced from an auto shop! They are truly the best in town. I'll definitely be using them for all my vehicle needs in the future!

I had my 2013 Mercedes Benz c300 towed here after I experienced the dreaded ESL failure at my work parking lot the night before. When I called and asked about their scheduling (before my car was actually towed there, since I was still waiting on a truck to arrive) I was informed they were fully booked for a few weeks, and that it would be at least a week before anyone would be able to look at it, and it would only be because they were working my car in where they could.
To my surprise, Scott called me that same afternoon with a diagnosis, confirming my suspicions. I was really impressed with how quickly he was willing to look at it, and I talked with him about some ideas I had about replacing the failed motor inside the module rather than replacing the whole module, he explained his perspective after working for Mercedes Benz for over 15 years, and agreed do some research over the weekend and get back to me.
He called me and agreed to go through with it, thinking this fix could save me several hundred dollars if it worked. He called me frequently with updates, and although the new motor failed (through no fault of his own) and we ended up having to replace the module anyway which was disappointing, I want to really highlight his willingness to listen and try another approach, how quickly he was willing to take on my car, and how transparent he was throughout the entire process.
The fix was not cheap, but he did waive additional labor costs after the part failed, and I can vouch that the pricing was entirely fair for the work required. I have already gotten a quote for some other work that will need to be done and plan to take it back for more repairs. I believe that the greatest challenge that faces car repair shops isn't just the work itself but establishing positive customer relationships and trust but Silver Star has exceeded my expectations in this area and I would highly recommend them to friends and anyone reading.

We brought in my 92 Suburban to get some things checked out on it and to really evaluate if it was worth putting the money into at this point due to age, value of the vehicle, and mileage. The team there was great at thoroughly checking things over, giving a very in-depth and informative quote and being very honest with us about what they thought without making us feel any sort of pressure. Though we have decided not to put more money into the vehicle, I will definitely be taking my future vehicle to them.

The folks at Silver Star (I spoke with Alan and a tech) really know how to treat their customers right. I made an appointment for 9am and right at 9am, they pulled my car in, serviced it, and finished promptly within their quoted time. In addition, one of the techs took time to speak with me about the issue and explained it in very good detail. Will be taking my BMW back here in the future!

Fair, honest, and trustworthy. When I first moved to Spokane I searched high and low for a good local mechanic. For the last two years this is the only place I've taken my 20 year old car. I always trust them to accurately diagnose issues, inform me on when routine maintenance may need to be done (i.e. timing belt, etc), and give me a fair price. I highly recommend this place! We have used Silver Star several times for our vehicles. They are always honest and reliable. We had to be referred out after our latest visit as Silver Star did not preform what was needed on our vehicle. They even called and got a quote and got is set up for service. Today Al went out of his way to call the other mechanic shop again for me after the other company tried to charge us more ensure we got the rate that was originally quoted to us. Honest and fast. These folks are outstanding. My wife took her Subaru to Les Schwab and they quoted $2200 to fix her front axel, these guys did it for about $300 the same day. Excellent customer service, they even delivered my car to my house when I was deployed. Al and the techs do great, honest work. This is the shop you want to take your cars to. 10/10.
