DO NOT GO HERE especially if you are a woman. Terry thinks we are all walnuts. Took my daughters truck in to have the transfer case looked at, and get an estimate on fixing it. Terry immediately gave me the vibe he was not listening to me describe the issue. Wouldn't call us back. I have my suspicions he never even put it on the rack. When my 18 year old daughter finally got ahold of him finally he tried to sell her a $4800 transmission.

His demeanor changed when he realized I was listening to the call. Explaining how he couldn't rebuild it, can't get parts. There was no used transmissions in the area and it would have to be a new crate transmission. I paid the $145 worthless diagnosis fee and took it to ACE transmission in Springfield. FREE DIAGNOSIS and they actually found I was right, it WAS THE TRANSFER case. SO he would have sold my daughter a $4800 transmission and it would have still left her with the original issue on the side of the road. DO NOT GO HERE, absolute swindlers. Terry, if you read this review, I HAVE THE BUSTED TRANSFER CASE PARTS FOR YOU.

My car needed an engine replacement which is fine. It took them one week to get the engine in and another week and half to put in the engine. Then when I called and asked for a complete total he started to ramble on about we needed to add this and that and finally after extensive pressure, he gave me a total of 5736 and some change which is fine. But when I came to check out physically he said the total was 6736 I asked why the extra grand he never answered my question just went over the itemized bill. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE EVER!

I wasnt allowed to supply my own parts. The owner was very rude and unreliable. Everytime he said he was going to call me back I had to call him. He acted like it was a burden to have to speak to me on the phone. I told him what I needed done and ofcourse they found over $1000 more in work that needed done so I took my truck and left. I then had it at 3 other shops in town just to prove a point.

From US Automotive I was told I needed all new ball joints, axel seals and calipers. Every other shop I took it to told me all of that was fine. I was lied to and they tried to take advantage of me because of how slow they are and they just need money. Come to findout they have 2 techs between 3 locations and drive the customers cars back and forth between locations to be worked on. please save yourself the trouble and $$$ and go somewhere else

Very rude customer service, who I later found out was the owner. Brought car in because it wouldn't start, after needing to contact THEM was told they were still diagnosing. Had to call THEM again after 24 hrs, owner let me know they found the problem and were fixing it. Never got told what the problem was until they had already finished, at that point there was nothing I could do but pay the bill and hope for the best. Drove the car home just to find out that they RIGGED it to just get home. Had to pay a 2nd tow bill and wouldn't you know they said afterwards that an electrical junction box needed replaced and it was going to cost 800 $.

My question was why was I not given the option to fix it correctly the first time, got barked at by the owner and never did get an explanation as to why I wasn't informed about the part needed for A PROPER REPAIR THE FIRST TIME. long story short they are crooks. HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO USE THIS SHOP!

Terrible prices, tried to convince us that a lot of extra work HAD to be done just to up-sale us. Bad communication on the phone. The final bill was $200 MORE than the estimate on the phone. No integrity or honor. Take your business elsewhere.

I'm sure nice folks work here. But someone is clueless! This is August, 2021. The TV add I just saw is straight out of the 1950s. And not in a cool mid-century way Really fellas. Just stop. Portraying women as so dumb they can't communicate what might be wrong with their car. You've serviced many women over your years of business. THIS is how we talk to you?

I brought in a vehicle that had a bad clutch on the air conditioning compressor. This particular vehicle is the kind that has a separate clutch from the compressor; that is to say, the clutch can be removed and replaced without having to replace the entire compressor. I also happen to know that only the clutch was bad and that the compressor was fine.

Their diagnosis was: Replace the compressor, replace the evaporator, replace the condenser for over $800. I said no, just bypass the A/C and then he offered to just replace the condenser for $600. Why didn't he give me that option the 1st time? Why didn't he offer to just replace the clutch? I work on my cars all the time; I've seen a lot of situations like this and my opinion is that US Automotive at 1735 S West Bypass in Springfield Missouri are deceitful and they are charging customers for more work than is required. They did however do a fine job on the bypass kit.

Just paid $1800 for a repair I DIDNT NEED at the Ozark location! They misdiagnosed a transmission issue as a need for replacement Catalytic Converters. They realized they screwed up and sent my car to one of the Springfield locations and they quoted me an EXTRA $4700! I inherited this car and on the anniversary of my dad's passing I decided to get it fixed!

I couldn't afford that! I mean who can?! I picked up my car and left with the same issue and left $1800 poorer! I literally donated money to US. Automotive and got nothing in return! DO NOT GO TO THESE GUYS! They made no effort to make this right!

Broke down on a road trip on a Friday afternoon and stopped here. They didn't have a tech available to get us back on the road, but they were very helpful in calling around and finding us another mechanic who could get us back on the road. Even let us use the bathroom! Very kind service and much appreciated!

EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER COMMENT: I took my van to the Kearney location. It was in the shop under my husband's name. I brought it in to replace the pulley. I was charged $150 for 'diagnostics'. Your shop called my half deaf husband for the go ahead to replace the alternator when we had never had a problem with it.he had no idea what you had said, he couldn't hear. The total bill was almost a thousand dollars. Do not imply that I'm a liar, I have my invoice. It shows, plainly, that I brought it in to have a pulley replaced.

I was allowed to finance the balance due for getting my car "back to how it was" when I took it to this establishment. What they don't know is that I had a before and after my visit qualified mechanic update me on work done. Mind you I drove my car to work 3 nights a week for a month-and-a-half after local mechanic replace plugs, seals and gaskets and said 3rd cylinder needed diagnosed.

Long story short they did not put in the gaskets and seals on the engine that the invoice describes AND even neglected putting all the bolts back in as well as screws holding plastic moldings. I was able to drive the car back home, to the gas station, and around the block before it gave up the ghost crawling back into my driveway where has not been driven since. I figured I'd get a little more than 5 miles for my $750 bill!

Went to have a new battery put in and alternator looked at. The shop charges $118 per shop hour. At the time of this posting the dealership hourly shop rate is $122. They performed a '90 point inspection' without permission or request. Cost of alternator at autozone was $67 Cost of battery at walmart was $48. The cost to replace both at this shop was over $900. Go somewhere else.

This is by far one of those shops were you tell them what you need then they exceed those expectations. I've had two repairs done on a fleet vehicle with nothing but great satisfaction. Definitely got my service!

Alright, stop what are you doing and read this please. Whatever mechanic might have told you in the past about your vehicle, don't listen to them. The mechanic and the receptionist here are the real MVPs. They helped me with mechanical work I knew was an issue, and they took care of it! Really quick, reliable, and knowledgeable crew at the shop. Highly recommend you stop in for any questions or concerns. They really do know cars!

I made an appointment to get my oil changed and was told it would take about 1 hour to complete. I dropped my car off 10 minutes before my appointment time of 10AM and was told it could take up to 1 and 1/2 hours to complete. I was ok with that because I had errands to run with a friend so, no problem. After not hearing from them after 2 hours I called and was told it shouldn't be much longer.

Finally at 2 PM I was told my car was ready to pick up. Really! I never would have dreamed it would take 4 hours for a simple oil change! I think they could have dropped on a new engine during that time! Never, ever, ever go to US automotive for anything. They have no respect for their customers and obviously have no time management skills.

Had my van for three days, said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, and that they had to tear it apart, which is a lot of work, so if I didn't want them to do the repairs, I would have to pay $150 for diagnostic. Claimed that my alternator was going out, even though I had no issue with it prior, and that it had to be replaced.

I took it in for a pulley issue. That was all I asked to be fixed on the vehicle. They upcharged 4X+ on parts. The $100 alternator, $25 tensioner pulley, and $10 belt ended up costing $999, and that was AFTER a ten percent discount for vets. Don't take your car there unless you want to get reamed.

More then $500.00 for labor to fix parts that fell under their warranty. can I give a negative number here? Over changed and bad service they tell you they'll call and update that afternoon and you don't hear anything for days.

You know, I have heard for years that service centers & garages screw you over. This is definitely not the case here. They care about your vehicle as it was there's! Outstanding work & great customer service. US Automotive is the place that you will want to take your vehicle. They will help you with the repairs & help arrange financing. If I could give them 6 stars, I would! My recommendation would be the great employees at US Automotive. Terry is great & the mechanic; Jack, who did the work on our vehicle is awesome. Thank you!

I was told by several other shops I would have to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. They fixed it for what I'm sure is a fraction of the cost of the dealership AND they have better hours. When I picked it up Terry said it drives like a brand new car and he was right. I bought it used and it's never drove this good for me. I'm really pleased.

My son took his car to have his rear struts replaced. Ad said they do financing. They did not tell that he had to be approved until they had finished the repair. He had the front struts priced somewhere else and it was quoted at half as much. Won't be back.

I advice you to never take your car here they are way to expensive they will charge you 45 percent more than the parts cost and labor is outrageous and I still don't have a running car, they said my engine was blown. So I made this a week or so ago. I got it home. Today we pull the serpentine belt off and checked all the pullies and found out that they did not diagnosis it cause the ac unit is seized up cause car started right up on the first turn. after paying 660.00 for starter and labor which wasn't even the problem. Warning do not use them. We are not mechanics ourselves but took us 20 minutes to figure the problem out.

After dropping off my car, I knew they were going to treat me right. And they did! It was neat to even see Kimberly help a walk-in set an appointment with an auto glass repair company. When I came in with two of my kids, she learned their names, got to know them, and when we came back to pick up my car, she remembered to ask how my daughter's birthday party was. The service is fantastic and I'll be coming back for all future car repair needs!

This business is just the right place to take your vehicle if you want to be over charged for services, be flat out lied to, have your vehicle damaged without being told. And you go without transportation for almost a month.

1240 dollars for diagnosing and replacing valve cover gaskets for a 2011 f150. I told him that the valve covers are leaking. I assume I had to pay for the two or three times he had to take them back off as well because he didnt get all the old gasket off. Or, when they broke my original valve covers that I had to paid for. I Would not go there again with shop labor being 114 hr. And charging for diagnosing, they are all about the buck first and quality second. I hated how they did me because I truely liked Terry.

OMG! Kimberly is the best! she is so sweet and very helpful. They staff are knowledgeable and kind. They were also very quick. I dropped my car off before my shift, she called and stated when it was done and told me what the mechanic recommended for my car. I will def be going back hands down this is my new place for my automotive needs.

My husbands truck caught on fire $2500 to repair. $1200 in labor two weeks in shop. By husband picked it that same day his other truck broke down. Took it in it had to have new seals plugs and wires. Said it would be $1350 then they replaced the alternator. Bill was $1900. The labor was $1200 AGAIN for 1 day. They tried to charge $70 for shop supplies says that's standard. Bull.

We will NEVER go there again. Not only did they rip off the insurance company for $2500 they ripped us off. Guess that's standard $1200 for labor. I would not recommend them to any one.

Rip off my car now leaks all over the driveway it doesn't feel right when started up when they called me with an estimate they quoted 1183.00 then said the repair was 1609.00 when I went to pick it up. Then forgot to mention the 154% interest rate on financing the repair. over rated not honest do not due business with us automotive!

These people are thieves, plain and simple. I had my Taurus towed in to them for a no-start condition. They had it most of a day and called to tell me that the problem was the crank sensor. When I thanked them and told them I would come and get the car and pay them for the diagnostic time the guy on the phone (and at the counter when I came to get the car) developed an attitude, told me they would push my car out into the lot so they could make room for some of their better customers.

I guess he was pissed because he couldn't make his ludicrous parts markup or charge me the 1.8 hours to replace the sensor that I replaced in 10 minutes in his parking lot. Best part? That wasn't even the problem. I had it towed to another shop who found a wiring issue and fixed it for less than U.S. Automotive wanted to do the 10-minute sensor job (which didn't need to be done). Turns out he used to work at that very same U.S. Automotive and quit due to the owner/manager's unethical business practices. I believe it. Take your business elsewherre. Anywhere. You'll be better off.

This was a great experience the service was top notch and they got me up and running in no time at a price that didn't take me over the coals. I recommend this shop and just moving to Springfield I won't take my cars anywhere else. Thank you to Terry and the staff.
