David and Emily were fantastic! I purchased a 2020 certified vehicle from a local dealership. I am no car expert and trusted the dealership and certification process. I began to notice some noises that concerned me and took my vehicle to my mechanic, who sent me to Heitzman Auto Body (who were awesome btw), and they referred me to David. David inspected the vehicle and determined it had been in one or more accidents with body and frame damage that had been poorly repaired.

Because of David's opinion letter, I was able to get all of my money back plus the cost of his inspection and the dealership changed the way they complete their certification process. I highly recommend Auto Damage Experts!

My Tundra was totaled by my insurance company after it was stolen. They lowballed me on the value by using a different model truck for the comparable then when I disputed their value they came back even lower using trucks from up to 700 miles away, far below Portland's market value. I cannot give David and the Staff over at Auto Damage Experts enough credit for the quality of their work. I was rear-ended and had my vehicle repaired by my insurance company's preferred repair shop. The work was done poorly, and ADE had them redo EVERYTHING. After the work was completed, there were STILL mistakes that David found, and the work was redone again.

Then I took the car home, and after extensive driving found another issue (something that the ADE team wouldn't have been able to find without lots of test drives). Even though their "job was done", David and the team went to bat for me again and made sure that everything was done correctly. Some people in this world are driven by a higher cause, and the team at ADE is focused on making sure you feel confident that your vehicle repair was done correctly, and your family is safe behind the wheel. I contacted David pretty early in the process and he guided me throughout the diminished value process for an incident where a car backed into my new bmw. His experience and knowledge gave me enough confidence to trust him for the DV claim. He did a very thorough analysis of my car post repair and recommended additional repairs. He gave a very insightful DV report which was enough to make a strong case. Unfortunately, the insurance company denied me any claims initially but David still felt pretty confident about getting the DV for my accident so he referred me to a great attorney who with the help of David's report won the case.

I was hit by a drunk driver in my brand new Toyota Tundra. After multiple trips to the body shop and extensive repairs I called David at Auto Damage Experts. David and Emily are consummate professionals who care for their customers and also help to be patient and deal with dishonest insurance companies. They helped me and some of my co-workers a lot over the last 4 years. I have been helped on two separate instances and the second one involved filing a small claim suit. Best appraiser and support! Without ADE my insurance company would have convinced me to accept less than a third of the amount needed to repair my car. I cannot describe how well taken care of I was with ADE! They are amazing and made me feel so confident even before I hired them. The process with ADE was so smooth. It was such a relief to hire someone to take over the fight with my insurance company and ADE was able to get me the amount I knew my car was worth. Full disclosure: I didn't end up hiring Auto Damage Experts for my Diminished Value Claim because they recommended against it. This review is solely based off of my interactions with them leading up to that point. Last month I was hit by a cement truck in my Prius. Everything has been a hassle since then: rental cars, insurance companies, doctors, car repairs, constant pain.you name it. I'm grumpy over the whole thing.

The one easy part was dealing with Auto Damage Experts. I filled out a form on their website and quickly received an email Jessica Steele requesting more info. We had to go back and forth via email a few times, but she was incredibly kind, patient, and professional in helping me get all the required info to her. She always let me know what to expect and followed through.

A few days later I received a call explaining they didn't think it would be beneficial for me to hire them. All my questions were answered. I was given some incredibly helpful advice on dealing with the insurance company. I hung up thinking "Wow." I feel like I received some long forgotten, old school customer service. Some real neighbor helping neighbor stuff that just doesn't happen anymore.

I hope I'm never in need of their services again. And I'm sorry that you're reading this, cause it probably means you are. But rest assured Auto Damage Experts has got your back if you are.

This is one of the few DV appraisal places that does an actual in-person inspection of your vehicle, which can make your case against the insurance company much stronger. This portion of the process was pretty straightforward, and it only took about 15 minutes. The actual report that ADE produced was very detailed and included sales of comparable vehicles, analysis of the actual specifics of my vehicle's damage that led to their DV estimate, and the resume of Dave, the owner and appraiser who prepared the report.

This resume included documentation of his extensive experience, as well as trial cases that he's been involved in. This report has been a valuable and crucial tool in getting the insurance company to fork over a fair settlement. It seems like ADE gets a lot of business and can sometimes be a bit slow to reply, but the best and fastest way to get in contact is to just call Dave or one of the other employees directly.

David and his team were able to guide us through a stressful situation that involved not only being in an auto accident, but the numerous roadblocks that we encountered with our insurance company. David guided us each step of the way, was not afraid to express concerns on our behalf, and ultimately got us an outcome that we were satisfied with. Highly recommend having representation if you aren't satisfied with the settlement that your insurance company is offering. Completely worth every penny in addition to the safety and peace of mind!

Extremely unprofessional, lack in communication and not helpful in diminished value process. I've emailed both Emily and David over the last 3 months and have not been responded too once. Not a simple email or phone call to follow up. According to the insurance I did not have a claim and now that I've brought it to ADEs attention they have chosen to ignore me. I would not recommend them to anyone! It's very unfortunate the way they do business and I would not want others to be treated the way I have.

For the first time I met Mr. David Smith I was very Impressed with his professionalism and expertise. Not only I find them on Google, also few of my friends and people I know they recommended ADE. Anyways, I called and made an appointment with them. In the beginning my impression was maybe I am paying to much for an inspection. But, after David came and start inspecting my 1960 Mercedes 190SL I was embarrassed of myself to see I was comparing money with Mr. Smiths knowledge & expertise. He spend almost two hours to inspect my car. He took over 250 pictures. He did the best possible job I could ever imagine. Thank you ADE, and thank you David.

I would not hesitate for a minute in working with David, Emily and the team at Auto Damage Experts. They helped me out twice and both times the results were tip-top. While I wish no one is ever in a wreck, if you do have one, or your car is damaged by the forces of nature, call these people. The insurance company may not recommend it, but do not listen to them. It is worth getting a second, neutral opinion. If you live in Portland and are not looking forward to the drive to the office, buckle up. It IS worth it!

David is great. After having a number of issues with my car following an accident I was connected to Auto Damage Experts for a post repair inspection. David was awesome! David looked at my car and in under 10 minutes he diagnosed that the car needed to be replaced. He then showed me the photographic evidence of what was going on and the process by which I'd get reimbursed for the car.

He patiently sat with me as I freaked out a bit and explained why it was the right move. David and his team then took over and handled everything with my insurance and the mechanic that repaired my car. In the end everything wrapped up in a week and I was in a new car by the end of the next week. David was incredibly responsive and always took the time to explain what was happening and what the next steps would be. I absolutely recommend their services.

Dave was absolutely fantastic. Use Auto damage experts. He explained his clear, upfront price and told me that it would cover everything -- And it did! Months of back and forth on what I felt was a pretty complex situation. My brand new car, $100,000+ sticker price, limited edition (200), with less than 5,000 miles was rear ended and had $25,000 in repairs including frame damage. Dave helped me every step of the way and we managed $27,000 in DV.

ADE delivered the service it promised. I ended up getting a fair appraisal amount from my insurance company, so i would recommend the company. The only reason this is not 5 stars is the lack of communication. I called and emailed several times for status over the weeks that it took to resolve the claim, and I had better communication from the insurance company (Progressive). I didn't receive a call or email back until there was resolution. Again, the resolution was as promised, so the company does deliver, and I would recommend them.

I can't rave enough about david and emily! my car was totaled last month and a friend referred me to ADE. i had *no idea* what my rights were or that i could dispute the insurance offer. david and emily not only educated me on my rights, but they also went to bat with the insurance company and worked very quickly. my emails were answered within hours of being sent and my phone calls were always answered or returned promptly. the paperwork they required was simple and the entire process was efficient and streamlined. in the end, ADE got me $2,500 more than the insurance company originally offered and ADE's fee was reimbursed to me by the insurance company. in the end, i paid nothing for ADE's services, but i benefited HUGELY! i cannot recommend ADE enough! it's a cryin' shame that every business doesn't offer ADE's level of customer service, support and ethics.

David and his team are great. He is honest, reliable and has great documentation. He took the time to represent us and made sure we would be able to have a clean break from this car we bought, that was said to have a clean title and car fax. After we bought the car we noticed that it had been serverly damage and was lied about on carfax. We had hired dave to do an inspection as well as a diminished value claim, and long story short he provided solid evidence and paperwork so we could return the car. Great job again to him and his teem!

I really can't say enough good things about Auto Damage Experts. I used to be the proud owner of a beautifully restored / meticulously maintained German car from the 80s -- that is, until a reckless old man with no insurance ran a red light and totaled it. To have a car that you put so much blood, sweat, and tears into destroyed in an instant is bad enough; to have your insurance offer you a fraction of the car's actual value is worse.

I found out about ADE through a Google search and decided to give them a call based on all the positive reviews I read. Both Emily and David gave clear and thorough explanations of why my rights were and how the process of appraising my car would work. They consistently replied to calls and emails in a timely manner -- I never felt ignored or left in the dark.

The end result: I was given three times the initial offer from my insurance. Triple. I am now in the process of finding a replacement for my fallen friend and can rest easy knowing I have received enough compensation to find the equivalent. Why let insurance companies underpay you and force you to replace your car with something inferior? Learn your rights and have ADE help you recover what is rightfully yours. Five stars.

These guys are pretty awesome. I hired them to do an appraisal on my totaled vehicle. Far exceeded my expectations and have assisted in recovering money from the at-fault-motorist's insurance that I would have otherwise never known was accessible to me. Also hired them to appraise a prospective purchase in another state and they got back to me quickly enough to where I was able to make the purchase less than 24 hours later. Will definitely be looking to them in the future if the occasion arises, as much I'm hoping that it won't.
