Relatively new to the Raleigh area. We have a Mercedes-Benz and a Porsche. We're particular for sure. Found Precision AutoWerks by their website. Checked around with other shops and decided to use PrecisionAutowerks. Why? They're problem solvers, they use high quality parts, they respect your car, they cater to the customer( including questions), and they are very knowledgeable about European automobiles. Highly recommended.

Everything you want from an auto service; honest, fast, honest, fairly priced, and honest. They seem to care about my Mini as much as I do. They are so good I was willing to buy another German vehicle because I know they'll be there to service it!

I have a unique Frankenstein Porsche and they were able to take it and identify the maintenance needed. They were very responsive with communication, set expectations appropriately, and tackled the maintenance logically. I am very happy with their service!

I like that they are honest mechanics. Not trying to sell work that doesn't need done or fast talking around customers. They do a good job at a fair price & treat their customers well.

We have now had three vehicles repaired by the great folks at Precision. We could not be happier with the results. All of the vehicles are running much better than before. Our daughters car had something going on that no other repair shops could figure out and Stan and his team diagnosed immediately and now her 4-Runner runs like it should!

Recently brought in my Mercedes SLS AMG Coupe that I just got, to replace the struts on the gullwing doors which were dangerously low on pressure. One day, the driver's door unexpectedly came crashing down on its own, scaring the heck out of me. So I had a nice chat with Joe, and a couple hours later the doors were operating perfectly, with a slight spring-back action. It was a good experience and I highly recommend them.

I DID NOT WRITE THIS REVIEW! I have been going to Precision Autowerks for almost two years now. After buying a Mini Cooper, I needed someone that had knowledge of foreign cars, but also someone I could trust. I did my research and found great reviews for Precision Autowerks. They have not disappointed me. They are honest, fair and aim to please! What a great place to call my new auto home!

I'm really disappointed in my experience with Precision. I brought my 1989 BMW to them with some minor oil leaks. They looked it over and found $3400 worth of recommended items including control arms, brakes, plugs, and other things, which was fine for them to suggest but had a lot of sticker shock. I talked with them about using high quality non-OEM parts for the suspension to save some money, and said I'd do the brakes myself as they were quoting $400 for just the rears, which I told them seemed high.

They didn't want to use non-OEM parts--again, fine, their call--so I said let's just fix the oil leaks at their quoted, non-negotiated price of around $400, and maybe do some of the other stuff later, and they agreed. A couple of hours later they called back and said they were unhappy with my questioning their quote, so they didn't want to do any of the work.

Then they wanted to charge me $99 for looking over the car. I refused to pay for that and went and picked up my car. Bottom line is that these guys came off as indignant that anyone would question their prices and just have a conversation about less expensive options. That's not how I expect my mechanic to operate and it made me very uncomfortable. They appear to monitor their reviews closely so I'm sure they'll have some reply, but those are the facts of what happened.

Great group of guys who provide great service! Quick at fitting me into their schedule, fantastic at consulting on the needs of the vehicle based on their experience, and all around great to work with. I have brought in my Audi A6 in a number of times and they always do a great job. Highly recommend taking your vehicle to these guys!

I acquired a great 1991 Mercedes 350SD Turbo Diesel that had been neglected and that I am trying to get back to good driving order. In order to be able to acquire parts and service this Mercedes requires a mechanic and shop that is interested in working through all the complexities (aggravations) of an almost thirty-year-old mercedes. I was recommended to try Precision Autowerks when I needed to have my air conditioner repaired.

I took the Mercedes to them and they immediately impressed me with their knowledge about my vehicle. They kept in communication with me and repaired my air conditioner. They also clearly explain their costs, which are very reasonable and explained the repairs. I came away quite pleased. Several weeks later I then contacted them about a much more difficult problem.

My hood latches were rusted out and broken. Clearly a safety hazard that I needed to get fixed. This repair seems simple but finding parts (especially these parts) and dealing with all the rust/corrosion is quite difficult. Precision, rather than just throwing up their hands, worked hard to find the parts at a reasonable price and promptly solved repaired my hood.

They also solved my car alarm going off when driving problem as well as repaired my parking brake. With my Mercedes now much more drivable (and safer) I again came away as pleased as I have ever been with automobile service. Additionally, they are able to help me to prioritize future repairs (luckily nothing urgent right now) to get this wonderful Mercedes back to where she needs to be. Seriously, over the last forty years of car ownership, I have never had a better experience with an automobile shop. These guys are experienced, professional, collegial and completely trustworthy. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have been using Precision Autowerks for 16+ years for my BMW Z3. Besides having Master Mechanics that thoroughly know the major German makes like Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, etc., it is the level of honesty that I have witnessed a few times in those 16 years that has kept me loyal to this place. A good mechanic can be hard to find. so save yourself some aggravation and dollars and give this shop a try.

I use to go to this place when a coworker suggested it. Last i went for a oil pan replacement they wantes 1k i went and got a few other estimates they cane in at 5 to 700. They are not transparent in what they do. Also they over charge for replacing the control arm, thry quoted me 1k then Chris called back and said he made a mistake then it was 775. Thr other 2 places quoted me 500.

They will say blah blah blah we use OEM parts. I am taking my car to weaver motorsports. Also those guys dont know how to send an email fustrating. I won't ever go back!

Absolutely wonderful staff at Precision: knowledgeable, personable and committed to quality. I would look no further for your automotive needs. My E class won't be seeing any other shops for routine maintenance or otherwise.

This review is overdue, but back when I had an older car I had to frequent this shop often. I felt like they were an honest shop, prices were reasonable, and the service was top notch! One time my break lines went out and I had my car towed to the shop. It was at the end of the day so they didn't have time to look at it much less repair it. They were kind enough to even offer me a ride home so I wouldn't have to take a taxi after my hellish day. They go above and beyond with their service and I highly recommend!

New location and now even better quality and service. Worked on my 325i which was running poorly. Took care of the car in just a few days, provided a very reasonable quote and got the job completed in less time than expected. Even did some extras with no additional charge (top offed fluids, cleaned the car, and changed a bulb). I have been going to these guys for 4 years and they have always taken good care of car.

I've had my car work done a few times at Precision and I must say this is hands down the best shop in Raleigh. Their service is incredible, their prices are more than reasonable, and everyone that works at Precision is a straight shooter. The first time I brought my car into the shop I was having an issue which ended up being it's non serious repair.

They fixed my car free of charge and sent me on my way. I've gone back to them ever since and they have always treated me right. Its so hard to find an honest mechanic the charges fair price. That's what you're looking for then take your vehicle to Precision.

Let me start off with - wow these guys are great! I have had numerous bad experiences at BMW's service center on Capital Blvd. I always leave feeling taken advantage of or spoken down to. So when all I needed was to replace my 2007 X3 battery, I thought I would try and find someone in the area that specializes in BMW. My colleague sent over a link to local BMW service centers and I randomly chose Precision Autowerks.

Boy was I happy with my decision! I was greeted by a very friendly staff. Explained that the guy from Advanced Auto had suggested a battery that would work in my car, so I had purchased it ahead of time and took it with me for the swap. After further inspection, Joe took me around back and showed me the battery I bought and the battery in the car.

The one I bought was literally twice as large. Instead of making me feel like an idiot, he very calmly explained that they had a distributor of OEM parts 10 minutes away. And he would highly recommend using OEM parts whenever necessary. and the best part? The battery cost slightly less money than what BMW had quoted me. The lady at the front desk drove away immediately to get the new battery.

While we waited, I asked Joe to take a look at the fuse box and help get my cigarette lighter to work. He switched out the fuse and even marked the replacement for easy finding next time! From my arrival, to the battery snafu, and replacement - the whole thing took maybe an hour, and I left paying what I was initially quoted for labor - which was less than half of what BWM asked for btw.

The whole time the staff felt very consultative and friendly. And the best part? After explaining the odd boxes in my car, Joe even offered to host a toy drive for an organization that I volunteer for. How cool is that?!

Stan and Joe are the only folks that work on my cars - a 1997 S320 (365k miles) and a 1988 260E (316k miles). Great service, fair prices and a willingness to really dig into a problem and fix it. I recommend them to all my friends with Mercedes, BMWs and other fine car makes. They don't even charge me extra when I try my hand at "wrenching" and then need them to fix "my fix". You will be very satisfied if you become one of their many loyal customers.

Stan and Joe have done wonders for my old VW. They've done both body work and engine repairs, which have successfully allowed my car to keep going for much longer than it would have without them. Their work is top quality and they address your concerns seriously. They also help you prioritize what "needs to be done now" versus what might be able to wait for a later time.

They have a shop car that you can use for the day (or even overnight) while your car is being worked on. Their estimates are accurate and updated as needed. I would definitely recommend them for any VW owner.

Stan Hall is absolutely fantastic. He and his staff are extremely reliable and professional. They are helping me care for my '84 Mercedes 300 and are great about prioritizing work and scheduling maintenance. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
